#UnexpectedWorship
“``And it almost was like he just realized what was happening. Church service some type of church service was happening. I don't know about you. I might have stopped the whole thing, you know, because the thought is that he was risking him being deported and leaving his wife and daughter to the point of risking his life. And he didn't do that. He kept it going, which is amazing to me because I might have stopped. I don't know. And then he explains why he did it. And all of a sudden, I mean, we do the the communion and the prayers on. And I don't know. Such a beautiful experience with the holy spirit.”

#SeedsPlanted
“the the cool thing was the second day, it improved. And the third day, they memorized it. Like, regardless of all the distractions, all the things that were going on, they they memorized the whole thing. I didn't even have to say anything. They, you know, the translators told them to start doing it, they did it. And they and it was super cool to see that, to know that just as an encouragement that you just called me faithful to serve, and God will do the rest. Mhmm. And so I just pray that it's something that they take back with them, that they'll remember that it's a seed planted.”

#ResponsesToGodsWord
“So there's always a response when you hear god's word. You know, we kinda talk about it every week. There's always a response. So we we heard three responses. Right? Some mocked. Right? We hear that today. were intrigued, created curiosity, and so we want to hear them some more see hear more about Jesus. But some others flat out believe right. I was in the number two category. I could break this down a little bit more, but I'm sure that you wanna hear from the grease team.”

#FromTalkToAction
“Could that be something that the church struggles with today? Lots of talking, lots of theories, but no action. We even talk about things we actually want to do just talk about it and end up doing nothing. You know, and this this and and then we move on, and this is just the an endless cycle of talking and talking doing nothing. Is there something that you've been talking about that you haven't actually done yet? So the main thing is making disciples. Right? And so one of the things that I was at my previous church, and I stepped down as as a youth pastor there and and just started attending. And kinda started doing these programs, the small groups. And so I decided to join one of them.”

#BuildingRelationships
“And he walked in, and he kinda gave me an eye. Like, are we good? And I said, yeah. Of course, we're good. And we started playing basketball together. And soon enough, we were giving each other, you know, knuckles and high fives. And, you know, he was one of the kids when I was helping hand out shoes, the last he, like, he walked up and he just gave me the biggest hug. when I was thinking about the stories to share, I I mean, this was one of the moments that stood out to me so, like, so so strongly, and I never really understood why.”

#SeeTheirSacrifice
“And it was in that moment that I realized the weight of what he carries and the absolute overwhelm of the mission that he has in front of him every day. We're there for a week. We're there to give some relief if we can. We're there to encourage take care of their children and and do what we can to share the gospel for people that may or may not receive it, but he lives that every day. And it just hit me that I I live a privileged life. I can come and worship as I please. I can talk to Jesus about people.”

#RelationalMinistry
“the picture of when Jesus says, be like me. Like, do what I do. Like, he just performed that so well. And when he was around, I just felt this whole like, they felt like, they they he did give them a bag, but it was it wasn't enough for the family. So he said, give me your number. Like, I'm gonna be in touch. 's he he doesn't just give. He, like, he ministers to these people. Like, he's not letting them go without knowing this is Jesus. Like, this is what Jesus provides.”

#WWJDReflection
“I know if if I wasn't on this trip, I would have reacted in a way that I'm not very proud of. But I think everything the first three days, so much happened to, like, all of our hearts in that moment, kinda had a, you know, what would Jesus do? I flipped But I think in that moment, I didn't know what he would do, so I just kind of let it go. And I didn't say anything to him. I think he felt bad enough that he walked away. And I kinda asked myself, did that really happen? And and it did. And we just continued on about our day.”
