Day 1: Thirst Like a Deer at Dried-Up Streams

The soul’s deepest craving mirrors a deer desperate for water. This hunger isn’t accidental—it’s a divine imprint, a restless pull toward the One who designed us. Just as creation depends on water, humans ache for connection with their Creator. To ignore this thirst is to shrivel; to chase it is to find life. The pursuit begins by admitting our need, letting raw desire drive us to God’s presence rather than temporary fixes. [07:44]

As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? (Psalm 42:1-2, NKJV)

Day 2: Eternity’s Homing Signal in Your Chest

God wired humans with a spiritual GPS—an inward compass pointing toward Him. Like birds navigating continents or lost pets finding home, this homing mechanism keeps us restless until we discover our Source. Creation, Scripture, and Christ all broadcast God’s frequency, but we must tune out static to hear. Resistance dulls the signal; surrender sharpens it. Every heartache, question, or moment of awe is this homing device at work. [05:09]

He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth… so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him. (Acts 17:26-27, NKJV)

Day 3: You Can’t Read the Manual Without the Maker

Self-discovery fails without first knowing the Designer. A phone’s purpose isn’t found in its plastic casing but in its creator’s intent. Similarly, human value and meaning flow from God’s blueprint. The more we study His character—His creativity, justice, mercy—the clearer our own role becomes. To skip this step is to live like a wrench trying to be a screwdriver: functional but misplaced. Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. (Psalm 100:3, NKJV)

Day 4: Trading Trophies for Treasure

Paul’s resume—religious accolades, social status, flawless rule-keeping—became trash compared to knowing Christ. Modern trophies (career wins, likes, bank balances) hold equal weight. The pursuit of God requires hands emptied of lesser glories to grasp eternal ones. This isn’t dismissing life’s joys but seeing them as byproducts, not destinations. True wealth is measured in intimacy, not inventory. [23:13]

Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ. (Philippians 3:8, NKJV)

Day 5: Rain Comes When You Dig Deeper Wells

Dry seasons in faith often trace to shallow digging. Hosea’s promise—God coming like rain—isn’t about passive waiting but active pursuit. Farmers till hard soil before storms; we prepare through prayer, Scripture, and obedience. God’s presence isn’t earned, but receptivity determines its impact. Those who deepen their capacity through persistent seeking become reservoirs, not puddles. [28:39]

Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth. (Hosea 6:3, NKJV)

The greatest pursuit is the pursuit of God, because anything lower than the heart of God, the kingdom of God, and the righteousness of Christ is aiming lower than God intended. God desires the knowledge of the Lord to cover the earth as the waters cover the sea, and God has made Himself known through creation, the cross, the prophets, the Word, miracles, signs, wonders, and the life of Jesus. Paul counts every other trophy as rubbish because the excellency of knowing Christ is worth more than wisdom, riches, might, applause, or accomplishments.

Ecclesiastes says God has put eternity in the heart, and that means humanity carries a restless hunger that keeps asking, “Why?” The soul has a spiritual homing mechanism, like something inside that keeps trying to find home, trying to find the Creator, trying to find the reason for being alive. Psalm 42 gives that hunger a picture, as the deer pants for the water brooks, so the soul pants for the living God. David tasted and saw that the Lord was good, and nothing else could satisfy him after that.

Acts 17 shows people groping in the dark, reaching out for God, and Romans 1 says creation itself makes God’s invisible attributes clearly seen. God has not hidden Himself in a way that leaves humanity without witness. The Creator names the creation, and Psalm 100 says He made His people and not they themselves. Job says the breath of the Almighty gives understanding, so knowing God opens up the reason a person was made, the gifts God put there, and the problem that person was created to help solve.

Jeremiah says the wise man must not glory in wisdom, the mighty man must not glory in might, and the rich man must not glory in riches. God delights in loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness, and those things show the heart of the One being pursued. Hosea calls the people to pursue the knowledge of the Lord, and God promises to come like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth. That means no dry season has to be accepted when the heart presses into God.

God desires more than rituals, because Cain and Abel show that God sees the heart before He receives the offering. Hosea says God desires mercy and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. Eternal life itself is knowing the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He sent. Daniel says the people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits, and Peter says grace and peace are multiplied in the knowledge of God.

It's the greatest pursuit of our lives and as we as we move that way, there's so many blessings that are expounded to us and and it is something that that will change your life. No dry season. Right? We should have no dry season as we seek him. If you feel a dry season in in your life, just get get beside your bed and say, lord, I wanna know you. Lord, your kingdom come. Your will be done. God, your will be done. Your your revelation come to my life. I seek you, father. I wanna know you more than I've ever known you before. Search me and know me, lord. Right? So that that spiritual homing mechanism is in us. We have a a desire to find God, to find home, to find the the things of God in our in our hearts and minds. We're after that. Even if it's on you know, even if it's, you guys know, even even if it wasn't really described to us, there is that hunger in every person and that can be, of course, you know, pushed down. It can be, you know, it can be attempted to be eradicated by people. It can be if a a person's in a a very abusive situation. It can be, you know, stifled. It can be stifled sometimes in people's lives, but there is still that little signal in us that's going, hey, I wanna find god. You know, I wanna find the reason that I exist.”

“God knew the depth of his intention, his heart. Right? And if you think about it on Sundays, you know, you got people that they can worship good, but is their heart there? Is their heart really worshiping god? Or are they checked out? Or are they playing the game with God? Or they you know, some reason, they're not not making it close not making an effort to get close to God. They're letting something stop them from pursuing God. God rejected Cain for that because Cain's heart wasn't in it, and God rejected him. If your heart isn't in it, you're gonna be rejected. And look at this. He he tells us this, that God wants us to more than rituals, you know, some people don't even they don't even need to come to church because they're not in church when they come. Somebody say amen. Unfortunately, that's the way it is sometimes. Now if you're coming to get a hold of God and learn and grow and things, that's one thing. But some people come to church just for the ritual, but their heart is far from it. If that's the case, you're in danger. Right? We're in danger if somebody's living that way. Hosea six six, he says, for I desire mercy and not sacrifice, and I desire and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.”
