Day 1: The Word as Hammer, Light, and Two-Edged Sword

The Scriptures crack through hardened hearts like a hammer shattering stone. They cut through confusion like a sword dividing bone from marrow, exposing what’s hidden. God’s Word isn’t passive—it’s alive, active, and unstoppable, accomplishing exactly what He sends it to do. When spoken in faith, it rearranges chaos into order, darkness into light. It’s not just information; it’s transformation. Let it break what needs breaking and rebuild what He desires. [00:33]

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Day 2: Knowing God Beyond Your Parents’ Faith

Jacob called God “the God of my father” for years, never claiming Him as his own. Many inherit faith like a hand-me-down coat—familiar but ill-fitting. God wants intimacy, not genealogy. He invites you to wrestle, question, and cling until His promises become your testimony. Faith isn’t a family heirloom; it’s a fire you tend personally. Stop borrowing someone else’s encounter. Day 3: I AM Your Shield and Exceeding Great Reward

Abraham left everything, yet fear whispered: “What if God fails?” God answered, “I AM your shield.” Not a distant protector, but a surrounding presence. He didn’t promise Abraham a life without battles—He promised to be the reward within them. When loss stings, He whispers, “I AM enough.” Your security isn’t in outcomes, but in His nearness. [18:40]

Evil is cold-blooded—it flees when saints outlast it. Snakes can’t survive prolonged heat; darkness can’t withstand persistent light. Your doubts fuel the enemy’s stamina. But when you pray with tenacity, declaring God’s promises like a war cry, hell’s threats grow sluggish. Hold ground. Your endurance isn’t passive—it’s a furnace hell can’t tolerate. [57:05]

Day 5: Covenant-Keeper for a Thousand Generations

God’s faithfulness isn’t measured in days, but dynasties. He binds Himself to His people with unbreakable vows, His “yes” echoing through centuries. When your strength fades, His covenant stands. Your ancestors’ God is your God—not because He’s old, but because He’s eternal. His promises outlive every doubt, every failure, every grave. [59:15]

“Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.”

Sermon Summary

The word of God brings life, deliverance, hope, and breakthrough. The word is a lamp, a light, a hammer, and a two edged sword, and God sends it with power to accomplish what he sent it to do. The great pursuit for every Christ follower is to know God, because no one ever exhausts the knowledge of the Lord. Knowing God brings life, and knowing God brings confidence when people are fickle, opinions change, and the crowd that shouts “Hosanna” can turn toward “crucify.”

God reveals himself because he is not far off, not asleep, not tired, and not separated from people. God wants to be known in the dealings of man, and his names show his character. The names of God are not empty labels. Yahweh, El Elyon, Jehovah Rapha, Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Shalom, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Tsidkenu, and the rest reveal that God is healer, provider, peace, banner, righteousness, and the great I Am. God shows those names so his people do not have to run to other gods, palm readers, mediums, crystal balls, or “Slim Shady” ways of getting by.

God reveals himself to Abraham as the covenant maker and promise keeper. Genesis 12 shows God calling Abram out, promising blessing, a great name, a great nation, and blessing for all families of the earth. Genesis 15 shows God speaking right into Abram’s fear and loss, saying, “I am your shield and your exceedingly great reward.” God does not merely give rewards. God himself is the reward.

God reveals himself to Jacob as more than “the God of my father.” Jacob knew about the God of Abraham and Isaac, but God wanted Jacob to know him personally as the God of Bethel. That difference is huge. Thomas moved into that same personal knowing when he saw the risen Christ and said, “My Lord and my God.”

God reveals himself to Moses as “I am who I am,” the self existent, self sufficient God. God does not need to be fed, glued back together, or propped up on a shelf. God needs no one, yet chooses covenant relationship. Exodus 6 reveals God as deliverer, the one who brings his people out from under burdens with an outstretched arm and scatters every enemy.

God reveals himself as holy, and holiness is not mixed or defiled. The blood provides the way back into the presence of the holy God, because “the life of the flesh is in the blood.” Christ is the final ram provided, the blood that brings at-one-ment with God. God is faithful for a thousand generations, and evil is short lived. The cold blooded serpent cannot outlast warm blooded perseverance, covenant faith, and the God who shows up again.

5. Faith outlasts cold-blooded evil. Evil may flare up, threaten, and act like it is bigger than God’s people, but it is short lived. The serpent loses energy, and the resisting believer keeps standing because covenant faith has endurance. The call is not to panic at the mountain, but to keep praying, prophesying, and believing until the thing breaks.
