Jesus calls every believer to actively participate in His mission by going, making disciples, baptizing, and teaching people from all nations, reminding us that our faith is not just personal but meant to be shared and multiplied. This command is not optional or reserved for a select few; it is a direct invitation for every follower of Christ to step out in faith, cross boundaries, and bring hope to those who have yet to hear the good news. When we obey, we become part of God’s plan to depopulate hell and populate heaven, offering new life and purpose to others. [38:05]
Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV)
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Reflection: Who in your life or community is God prompting you to reach out to with the hope of Jesus, and what is one step you can take this week to begin that conversation or act of service?
Generosity—through giving, serving, and supporting missions—directly impacts lives, providing hope, resources, and spiritual family to those in desperate need, both locally and globally. When you give, you are not just meeting physical needs like food, shelter, or education; you are also opening doors for people to encounter the love of Christ and experience transformation. Your faithfulness in giving and serving is the reason children have a safe place to grow, learn about Jesus, and dream of a better future. [32:43]
2 Corinthians 9:7-8 (ESV)
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
Reflection: What is one area where you can stretch your generosity this week—whether with your time, resources, or encouragement—to make a tangible difference in someone’s life?
Serving alongside others in Christ-centered community builds deep bonds, encourages spiritual growth, and multiplies the impact of our efforts for God’s kingdom. When people from different backgrounds and campuses come together, they form a family that supports, prays, and works together, making the mission not just about the work but about the relationships formed and strengthened. These connections provide encouragement, accountability, and joy, reminding us that we are not alone in our calling. [33:45]
Hebrews 10:24-25 (ESV)
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Reflection: Who is someone in your church or small group you can intentionally connect with or encourage this week, and how might you serve together in a new way?
Caring for the vulnerable—children, the hungry, the orphaned, and the abandoned—is at the heart of Christ’s mission, and every act of love and service reflects Jesus to a hurting world. When you wash feet, provide shoes, share food, or simply offer a hug, you are embodying the compassion of Christ and declaring that every person is seen, valued, and loved by God. These small acts of kindness can be life-changing, offering dignity and hope where there was none. [25:23]
Matthew 25:40 (ESV)
And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
Reflection: What is one practical way you can show Christ’s love to someone in need this week, even if it’s a small gesture?
God calls His people to pray bold prayers, take courageous steps, and trust Him for more—believing that He can do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine when we step out in faith. It’s easy to settle for comfort or routine, but God invites us to dream bigger, to ask for more buildings, more resources, and more opportunities to reach people for His kingdom. This kind of faith requires action, unity, and a willingness to be stretched beyond what feels possible. [36:33]
Ephesians 3:20-21 (ESV)
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Reflection: What is one bold prayer or step of faith you sense God asking you to take for His kingdom, and how can you begin to act on it this week?
What an incredible week it’s been, Granite United! Coming back from our missions trip to Guatemala, my heart is overflowing with gratitude for what God is doing in and through our church. We saw firsthand the impact of your generosity and prayers—lives are being changed, hope is being restored, and the love of Jesus is being made real in tangible ways. From building stoves for families who have nothing but cinder blocks to cook on, to washing the feet of children who walk barefoot through tough terrain, every act of service was a reminder that we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
The stories shared by Terri and Kelly brought to life the power of compassion and community. Whether it was a child sharing food with another, or the deep bonds formed among our team members from different campuses, God’s love was evident in every moment. The feeding center, the orphanage, the playground—these aren’t just projects, they are lifelines for children who have been abandoned or left with nothing. Yet, in the midst of poverty, we witnessed joy, resilience, and a sense of family that only God can create.
Our time together each night, worshiping and sharing, built a unity that goes beyond a single trip. It’s a reminder that the church is not a building, but a people on mission—locally and globally. We don’t do this for recognition or photo ops; we do it because Jesus commanded us to go, to make disciples, to baptize, and to teach. Every gift, every prayer, every act of service is an investment in eternity. Thank you for being a church that gives, serves, and loves so well.
As we look ahead, let’s continue to pray bold prayers and take courageous steps. There’s more work to be done—more buildings to fill, more lives to reach, more hope to share. Whether it’s serving at Trunk or Treat, joining a missions trip, or simply loving your neighbor, let’s keep saying yes to God’s call. Because hope has a name, and His name is Jesus. Everyone deserves to know Him.
Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV) — And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Thank you. Granite for your generosity. I don't know where our kids would be today if it wasn't for you giving. I, and I say that without unapologetically, as I always do. If you got a problem with the church, um, taking up offerings and talking about missions and supporting stuff like this, it's not the church's problem. You got a problem because this is what we do. We, we give to the Lord through the church to impact people. [00:32:52] (27 seconds) #GenerosityChangesLives
You're making a difference. You're making a difference. Um, again, not just in Guatemala, but right here. Uh, we had a, a mom and two kids. Fill out a connection card this weekend. They said yes to Jesus. They filled out an online card and let us know that they took a step of faith from our eye campus. People were given a heart of Jesus on every campus. We baptized. I don't know, 30 people this weekend. I don't even know how many we baptized. Maybe 30. We, we baptized a ton of people across all campuses this weekend. Do you see what God is doing? And we get to be a part of it. [00:35:51] (42 seconds) #FaithInAction
My prayer is that God give us more. God, give us more buildings. God, give us a courageous and bold faith. God, help us. Not, we're not going to put God in a box. We're not going to do that. We're going to pray bold prayers. We're going to take big steps. But it's going to take every one of you who call Granite United home to help all of the other people to get in the game. To become prayers. To become faithful. To serve. To give. [00:36:33] (30 seconds) #BoldFaithBigPrayers
What does God call the church to do? Number one, depopulate hell, populate heaven. Number two, to help people understand their lives have been radically redeemed and restored. And God has given them a clean heart and brand new start and to identify and walk with Christ. [00:38:37] (18 seconds) #RedeemedAndRestored
You get saved. You get baptized. You identify with Christ and then you lock arms with the church. Why? So we can teach all new believers. What it means to love God, love your neighbor and treat others the way you want to be treated to be Jesus. Come on, somebody. [00:39:16] (20 seconds) #LoveLikeJesus
So we don't go on missions trips. We don't do what we do in New England, in our region, nationally or globally, because it's cute. We don't do it because it's cute. We don't do it for to take pictures and cool selfie moments. We do it to honor God, to make a difference. Because hope has a name and his name is Jesus and everybody deserves to have hope. [00:39:40] (24 seconds) #MissionWithPurpose
