36s
“``And at this moment while I'm preaching this message, I know not where she is. The last report I have is she was living under a freeway overpass, squandering the life that God blessed her with. But if she should walk through that door this morning, I would be prepared to welcome her home because grace is gonna need to come before forgiveness.”
44s
“But the Lord had to work on my heart to be willing to welcome her back whenever she returned. Because the old Joyce was saying, well, you dug that hole, now you just got to sit in it. You know, my my old mind, my own attitude was critical and judgmental. So I had to ask the Lord to create in me a clean heart and renew in me a right spirit. So that before she could even apologize, I could welcome her home.”
44s
“while I'm expecting her return, and I believe it's going to happen, every day, I'm praying for my heart. Because every day that goes by, it's harder for her to return, and it may get harder for me to receive her. Amen, somebody. How many know that some of the things that God requires to do, you to do, you can't do without the supernatural anointing of the Holy Spirit? It is the Holy Spirit that allows us to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can think, ask, or even imagine.”
34s
“And in this story, the interesting thing is, is that the father applied grace before the son had fully repented. Isn't that what God does for us? He applies grace because it takes grace even for us to come to him and confess our faults, so he can forgive us and restore us back into a right relationship with him.”
