47s
“The other way the other temptation is hope migrates towards our wealth. This problem is actually worse than the first because over time, money and stuff slowly become our primary source of hope and security and safety. See, having hope and riches is okay, but having hope in riches is not a good idea. Jesus and Paul are sharing all this with us not to make us feel guilty, but to make us feel grateful and to make us generous. He says, be careful of putting your hope in riches because riches are not dependable. They're not reliable. They're uncertain, and your money will never love you back.”
34s
“Don't scam yourself. Because if you fail to factor in god and eternity, you become a fool. You're just not wise in the way that you're planning your life out. So be careful. Don't scam yourself. Why wait until it's too late? Why play the fool? Because one one day, one night for every single person in this room, this very verse will be very real to every one of you because one day, one night, your life will be demanded of you.”
30s
“The definition of your life is not about how much stuff you have. Here's the principle. You are not your net worth. Life is a whole lot more than the accumulation of more things. So this wisdom, life is not about the abundance of possessions. You are not your net worth. That's not the value of your life. Life is not the abundance of possessions.”
