#FaithNeedsResurrection
“``Guys, it's not blind faith. It stands on historical ground. The second thing that we see here about the resurrection is that the resurrection is what holds all of it together. Guys, without the resurrection, we do not have faith. We do not have the Christian faith. We have to have the resurrection of Jesus. This is why Paul said in verse 17, he says, if Christ has not been raised, well, then your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ those people had put their faith in Jesus. When they put their faith in Jesus, if the resurrection didn't happen, he says they've all perished. Look at verse 19. And if in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of people most to be pitied.”

#GoodNewsOfJesus
“Like, we we try to complicate it sometimes. But when we say the gospel as Christians, what we're talking about is the good news of Jesus. Well, what is the good news of Jesus? Well, the good news of Jesus is that Jesus came from heaven to earth. He lived a perfect life, a sinless life. And and the bible says that he went to the cross, and he died in our place for our sins. He did something that we could not do for ourselves. And on the third day, he rose again. And when he did that, he sealed the promise of our salvation.”

#NoResurrectionNoHope
“But this is why the apostle Paul is reminding us of how important this part of our theology is. See, the Corinthians were denying the bodily resurrection of Jesus. But if the if the resurrection did not happen, then watch this. Our preaching is in vain. Like, what I'm doing right now is worthless if if Jesus isn't resurrected. What you're doing right now in worship right now, gathering right here, if the resurrection didn't happen, you're wasting your time. Why would we come together and be in this space just like this? If the resurrection didn't happen, our faith is futile. If the resurrection didn't happen, the dead are lost forever. And if the resurrection didn't happen, we as followers of Jesus, Paul says we are most to be pitied on this planet.”

#ChristFirstfruits
“But this is why Paul doesn't stop in verse 19. Paul gives us the hope that we need. And, man, I just believe that God has brought some people here today that you have really been struggling with what to do with Jesus. And the apostle Paul gives us the answer to that struggle, that the the questions that gnaw at us at night, the things that we think about, he gives us in verse 20, and he gives us the fact. And here's the good news. Paul Paul says this. He says, but in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. The first fruits of all that have fallen asleep. What does that mean? Jesus' resurrection is the guarantee and the down payment of our future resurrection.”
