#GodDrawsNear
“``When life gets dark, God draws near. This is one of these ways we move from fearful to peaceful. Even though our situations and our valleys don't change, we have a God who comes and says, I'm gonna be with you amidst that. Our valleys may still remain. There's no promise that God will take those away. But but what is promised is the good shepherd, the shepherd who loves us and leads us, says, I'm gonna be with you in that.”

#KnowGodTrustGod
“Let that statement just sink in for a brief moment. The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. That keyword my changes everything, especially for David. Because the idea of a shepherd, especially God, is before a shepherd leads the sheep, he knows the sheep. God is very intentional with knowing every single sheep that he leads. Because knowing God leads to trusting God, which ultimately leads to us following God.”

#WithYouInTheValley
“And this is about the idea of a shepherd who walks with us. Psalm twenty three four says, even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. Now again, when we talk about valleys, we talk about trials and tribulations in our lives. And I would imagine many of you here are currently in those seasons of valleys, whether they're valleys of fear, disappointment, loss, or uncertainty. But I want you to catch what's happening in the psalm. David starts off by saying he starts talking about God in third person. He makes me. He leads me. And then he goes into, but you are with me. He's he changes from talking about God to talking to God. That's the key shift. Because here's the reality, my friends, and I want you to hear this. When life gets dark, God draws near.”

#GoodnessAndMercyForever
“In Psalm twenty three six, one of the most confident verses, I think, in this entire passage, surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. This isn't about just today, not just tomorrow or maybe someday. This is I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. That those of us who have placed our faith in Jesus Christ will spend eternity with God. Heaven isn't heaven because it's a beautiful place of streets of gold. Heaven is heaven because God is there. And that's the promise that we get. Goodness, mercy, forever.”
