#GodLovesEqually
“And here's the next thing. There's no degree in god's love. God loves you and me, the beggar, the homeless, the illegal immigrant, the victim of war as much as he loves Jesus. God the father loves you as much as god the father loves Jesus. You believe that? Because God's love has no degree. He either loves or he doesn't, and he's love. That's who he is. That's his nature. That's his meaning. That's his being. This is our god, and he loves you and draws you into that Trinitarian concept of god, god loving the son, the son loving the father, the father loving the spirit, the spirit loving the son, this whole energy and vitality and power of love.”

#TrinitarianLove
“And we are drawn into that and to experience it. So if nothing else gets through to you this week, this day, you are invited into this Trinitarian love, love in action, the power of love, the wonder of love. And that person that you think gets it more than you, no. It's yours. You are loved deeply by love. And so this is the good life, is to enjoy that love of God, which is a like a love of a a life of abundance, completeness, wholeness, health, a life of harmonious relationships, living in love, a life of joy, the blessed life.”

#ServeGodNotMoney
“And this is a verse into the teaching about wealth, where Jesus says, we cannot serve two masters. a slave will either hate the one and love the other or be devoted to one and despise the other. You and I cannot serve God and other treasures, whether it's money, materialism, a career, a family, a child, a spouse, whatever. is our priority. I started out today on the good life, and God's generous invitation to me to journey with him and to enjoy the love of God in this good life. Has it been easy? No. Do I regret it? No. I chose a blessed life to live with an abundance attitude, not a scarcity attitude.”

#SurrenderToAbundance
“And God has always put before his people, any people, before you and me today, God says, choose. Death or life? Life, choose to accept my love and all of what I have done for you. Choose life or keep putting umbrellas up, barriers up because you think that you can do it better. I sent you there, but it's been my story too. Sometimes I really thought I knew better than God, and I fought, and I struggled, and my umbrella went up. So Jesus came to give us abundant life, the good life, the blessed life.”

#AbundantBlessedLife
“And so this is the good life, is to enjoy that love of God, which is a like a love of a a life of abundance, completeness, wholeness, health, a life of harmonious relationships, living in love, a life of joy, the blessed life. Right from the beginning, god created us to enjoy this life, and he blessed humans so that they could enjoy everything that God wanted. Now the opposite of blessing is scarcity.”

#ReflectGodsKindness
“The good life. What on earth does that mean? Good people. Good people created as God's God's image bearers to reflect God to the world and the world back as reflective mirrors. The DNA of God within, even though it got messed up and made dirty, It was still people who are sacred and precious and dearly loved by God, and that includes every single one, including that person you can't get on with. It's a good world to be tendered and cared for so that we could do good works of kindness, generosity, tenderness, humility, hospitality, cooking that extra meal.”

#PutUmbrellasDown
“But over a period of our lifetimes, we have put umbrellas up to stop the love of God reaching You know, it's all like this. And sometimes it does blow away, and we feel it a little bit, and that's a little bit scary. And so most humans, most of the time, walk around with an umbrella against the love of God that wants to rain down on us. What does it take to allow ourselves to be soaked in the love? Do you wanna do something with that, Andrew? Thank you. What does it take for us to be soaked saturated in the love of God? Certainly, it means put those umbrellas down, put the barriers down that have stopped us from enjoying our God. So everything is God's, and everyone is loved by God.”

#GenerousEyes
“In the context of the Sermon on the Mountain, this is a metaphor about generosity and priorities, about the good life. The good, healthy eye is a idiom. You know what an idiom is or a metaphor? Just recently, I said to some someone was a I was with a little four year old, and I said, keep your eye out. So she goes like this. She took it literally. Okay? But we know what an idiom is. Having a good eye describes a generous, open handed person who imitates God's character, whether the focus where your focus is outward, where it's giving, and your entire reflects God's light. That is a light in your eyes. The bad eye, opposite. It represents a selfish, stingy person consumed with hoarding possessions. If your worldview is driven by greed, your perception becomes warped, broken, plunging your life into darkness. I've been there. It's a sad life. It's not the good life.”
