No matter how deep our despair, God is able to reach down and lift us out of our darkest moments. Whether it’s addiction, depression, shame, or any other struggle, He hears our cry when we call out to Him and brings us up from the miry clay, setting us free from bondage. Like David and Peter, we must be willing to reach out and ask for help, trusting that God is near and ready to rescue us when we surrender. Don’t let pride or comfort in your deliverance make you forget the miracle of your rescue—remember, it was God who brought you out, not your own strength. [43:14]
Psalm 40:1-3 (ESV)
I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.
Reflection: Think of a time when you felt trapped or hopeless—how did God bring you out, and how can you share that testimony with someone who needs hope today?
It’s easy to become comfortable after God has delivered and blessed us, but we must guard against pride and forgetfulness. When we are satisfied, we can start to act as if God owes us, forgetting to thank Him for all He’s done. True gratitude means taking time to simply thank God, not just asking for more, but appreciating His faithfulness and mercy. Let your heart be filled with thanksgiving, remembering that every blessing is a gift, not an entitlement. [46:42]
Hosea 13:6 (ESV)
When I fed them, they were satisfied; when they were satisfied, they became proud; then they forgot me.
Reflection: When was the last time you paused to thank God without asking for anything—can you set aside time today to express pure gratitude for His rescue and blessings?
God doesn’t just deliver us from trouble—He establishes us on a firm foundation and directs our steps. Jesus is the solid rock, unmovable and faithful, and when we trust Him, our lives become stable and purposeful. We are called to stop returning to unstable ground and instead allow God to guide us by His Word and Spirit. Trusting in people or our own understanding leads to disappointment, but trusting in God brings security and direction for our lives. [54:17]
Psalm 37:23 (ESV)
The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way.
Reflection: In what area of your life are you tempted to rely on your own understanding or on others instead of God—how can you intentionally trust Him to direct your steps this week?
When God saves and secures us, our natural response should be worship and gratitude. Worship is more than music; it’s a lifestyle of praise, a new perspective, and a testimony to others. Even in the darkest moments, like Paul and Silas in prison, praising God can break chains and bring freedom. Your life should sing a song of faith, blessing, and victory, not bitterness or victimhood. Let your gratitude and joy be a witness to those around you, showing them the difference Christ has made. [01:07:36]
Psalm 40:3 (ESV)
He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.
Reflection: What “song” is your life singing right now—how can you let your gratitude and praise for God be visible to others today?
You will never truly know your purpose in life until you give your life to Jesus Christ. He is the one who gives direction, meaning, and fulfillment, setting your feet on solid ground and guiding you into the person you were created to be. No matter how far you’ve wandered, God’s love remains, and He invites you to return and renew your relationship with Him. Purpose, identity, and direction are found not in the world, but in surrendering to Christ and allowing Him to lead you. [01:21:19]
Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Reflection: Are you searching for purpose or feeling lost—what step can you take today to surrender your plans to Jesus and trust Him to reveal your true calling?
Today, we reflected on the powerful truth that God is the one who rescues, restores, and gives purpose to our lives. Drawing from Psalm 40, we see how God lifts us out of the darkest pits—whether that’s addiction, depression, shame, or any form of despair—and sets our feet on solid ground. This isn’t just about being delivered from trouble; it’s about being established in a new life, with new direction and purpose. God doesn’t just pull us out; He positions us, directs our steps, and gives us a new song to sing—a testimony of His faithfulness and love.
It’s easy to forget the depth of our rescue when life becomes comfortable. We must guard against spiritual amnesia, remembering that every blessing and every bit of progress is a result of God’s grace, not our own doing. Gratitude should be our constant response, not entitlement. When we remember our rescue, our hearts remain humble, and our lives become a living testimony to God’s goodness.
Standing on the “rock” means trusting in Christ alone, not in people or our own understanding. People will disappoint us, but God never will. He is unmovable, faithful, and reliable. Our stability comes from Him, and our steps are directed by His Word. Salvation is not just a moment in time; it’s a movement—a continual journey of transformation that impacts generations.
Our response to God’s deliverance should be worship, not just in song but in the way we live. Our lives should sing a new song of faith, joy, and victory, not bitterness or victimhood. Even in the darkest moments, like Paul and Silas in prison, praise can break chains and bring freedom—not just for us, but for those around us. When we let our light shine, others see the difference Christ makes, and God is glorified.
No matter where you are today—whether you need rescue, direction, or a renewed relationship with God—He is ready to meet you. He loves you more than you love yourself, and He invites you to step into purpose, stability, and a life that testifies, “Look what the Lord has done.”

Sometimes we need to take out the time and say, Father, I don't want anything. I just want to take out this time to say thank you. I want to take out this time to say how much I appreciate you. How much I love you. For all that you have done for me. This moment. I don't want nothing. If you don't bless me again, you have blessed me enough for eternity. And I thank you. If I can't trust my heart, then why would I want you to trust me when I can't even trust myself? We put too much pressure on people. We put too much responsibility upon people. And when people disappoint us, we get mad at them. When the Bible is just telling us, God just telling us, the heart is deceitful, why are you trusting in him? Curse is the man. In that same chapter, curse is the man who put their trust in man. So, God has taken all responsibility off a man. He said, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge me, and I will direct your path. [00:53:14] (45 seconds) #WordIsOurLight

Declare it today. He brought me out and now I am standing on something solid. I'm standing on something solid. You don't realize when you accepted Jesus Christ in your life how solid your life is now. When Jesus said upon this rock I build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Come on now. What a powerful statement. He just wasn't saying it to sound cute. There's nothing that the devil can do as long as we stand and we trust in him. After you've done all that you can do just stand. He said all you have to do is just stand there. Stand there trusting in him. [01:00:33] (52 seconds) #PrayMoreComplainLess

``Sometimes you're in the darkest time of your life. That's when you need to start singing praises. At midnight, at midnight, when it's dark in your life, when it don't seem like things are going your way, go down on your knees and start singing praises to God. Go down on your knees and start thanking God. And all of a sudden, you'll start feeling the earthquake. You'll start feeling those problems, those troubles, start falling off of you. Because why? Because you're giving God the praise and he's delivering you right now. And when you wake up in the morning, you have a brand new perspective. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. [01:06:46] (39 seconds) #LivingTestimony
