The Bible teaches that there are two possible destinies for every person: to be part of the first resurrection, receiving a glorified body and eternal life with Christ, or to face the second death, which is eternal separation from God. Those who are born only once—physically—will die twice, both physically and spiritually, but those who are born again—born twice—will only experience physical death, and even that is transformed by Christ’s victory. The assurance of being part of the first resurrection is found in being born again through faith in Jesus, which means sin and Satan have no power over you, and the second death cannot touch you. [09:56]
Revelation 20:4-6 (ESV)
Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.
Reflection: Are you confident that you have been born again and are part of the first resurrection? If not, what is stopping you from surrendering your life to Jesus today?
There will come a day when all who have rejected God will stand before the great white throne, and every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. This judgment is not for believers, but for those who have persistently refused God’s love and grace. At this moment, there will be no more opportunities, and those not found in the Book of Life will be separated from God forever. The reality of this judgment is meant to sober us, reminding us that God has made every way possible for us to be saved, but ultimately, He honors our choices. [23:50]
Revelation 20:11-15 (ESV)
Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
Reflection: Who in your life needs to hear about the reality of eternity? How can you lovingly share the hope of Christ with them this week?
God promises that after all evil is judged, He will create a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells. In this renewed creation, there will be no more separation, no more war, and no more pain. The former things will pass away, and God Himself will dwell with His people, wiping away every tear and making all things new. This hope should fill our hearts with anticipation and shape the way we live today, knowing that our true home is with God in His eternal kingdom. [34:57]
Revelation 21:1-5 (ESV)
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
Reflection: What pain or sorrow are you carrying today that you need to entrust to God, knowing He promises to make all things new?
The new Jerusalem is described as a glorious, radiant city where God’s people will dwell with Him forever. There will be no more night, no more closed gates, and only blessing will remain. The river of life and the tree of life will be there, and God’s servants will serve Him in perfect joy and security. This is the inheritance of those who overcome through faith in Christ, and it is a place where only righteousness dwells—no more sin, no more fear, only the light and presence of God. [43:28]
Revelation 22:1-5 (ESV)
Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.
Reflection: How does the promise of your eternal home with God change the way you view your daily struggles and priorities?
The most important decision anyone can make is to be born again—to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. No amount of good works or religious activity can substitute for this new birth. The invitation is simple: cry out to Jesus, “Save me!” and He will respond. This is not about a perfect prayer or having all the answers, but about a heart that turns to God in faith. The Holy Spirit is always drawing people to Christ, and today is the day of salvation—don’t wait or put it off, for eternity hangs in the balance. [13:52]
John 3:3-7 (ESV)
Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’”
Reflection: If you have never truly asked Jesus to save you, will you do so right now? If you have, who can you pray for today to experience the new birth in Christ?
Today, we journeyed through the final chapters of God’s redemptive plan, tracing the timeline from the millennial reign of Christ to the dawn of the new heaven and new earth. We began by remembering that we are living in the church age, awaiting the rapture—a moment when Christ will call His people to Himself. The rapture, I believe, will precede the tribulation, a period marked by Israel’s peace treaty and the rise of the Antichrist, culminating in the abomination of desolation and the outpouring of God’s judgments. While the world endures tribulation, the saints will be with Christ, returning with Him at His revelation to establish His thousand-year reign on earth.
During the millennial reign, Jesus will rule from Jerusalem, and believers in glorified bodies will reign with Him. Yet, even in a world governed by Christ’s perfect justice, human hearts will still be tested. At the end of the thousand years, Satan will be released for a short time, deceiving many who, despite living under Christ’s rule, will choose rebellion. This final uprising will be swiftly crushed, and Satan will be cast into the lake of fire forever.
We then considered the sobering reality of the great white throne judgment. All who have rejected Christ will stand before Him, judged not by faith but by their works, and ultimately separated from God for eternity—the second death. Yet, for those whose names are written in the Book of Life, there is no fear of this judgment. Instead, we look forward to the promise of a new heaven and new earth, where righteousness dwells, and God Himself will dwell among His people.
In this eternal state, all sorrow, pain, and death will be gone. The New Jerusalem, radiant with God’s glory, will be our home—a place of unending blessing, light, and life. The invitation remains open: to be born again, to have your name written in the Book of Life, and to set your heart on eternity with Christ. This is not just a warning against judgment, but a call to embrace the hope and inheritance prepared for all who overcome through faith in Jesus.
Revelation 20:1–15 (ESV) — > Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.

And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

See, to the sinner, you're born once, but it's possible to be born, but not alive. See, you only experience life once you've accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior. Then you're, help me out, born again. See, you must be born again, Nicodemus chapter 3 of John. All right, you must be born again. Anyone who's not born again can't go into the kingdom. Anybody who's born again is without Christ. Anyone who's without Christ, watch this. You're born once into the natural earth, but then you die twice. You die the physical death, watch this, and you die a spiritual death. [00:11:37] (37 seconds) #BornAgainToLife
So God created a place for people that don't want nothing to do with God, and it's called hell, a place of torment. All right? People are like, Pastor Charlie, this makes me uncomfortable. It's supposed to make you uncomfortable. Why? You're not supposed to go there. It's like people that complain about jail. Y 'all didn't get it like I said it. It's supposed to make you so uncomfortable that you're like, let's not do that one. That's what it's supposed to do. [00:24:44] (54 seconds) #HellIsRealAndJust
You're not going to get to heaven, and God's going to have a big screen TV and go, hey, tell me about this. How many of you know that would not be heaven? Okay, for some of you, you think you're all good. But for me, it would not be heaven, praise God. All right? You're not going to. Why? Because every sin you've ever committed, every thought you've ever had, God is washed by his blood. You are perfect in his eyes. You are his bride, praise God. Amen? Amen. Amen. [00:28:48] (36 seconds) #PerfectedByHisBlood
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. [00:36:29] (28 seconds) #HeavenIsOurTrueHome
He who overcomes, are you an overcomer? Come on, are you an overcomer? Yeah. He who overcomes shall inherit all things. And I will be his God and he shall be my son. [00:38:22] (15 seconds) #ManyNamesOneHeavenlyCity
We are the sons and daughters of God. We're not born of earthly seed. We're born of heavenly seed. So heaven is our home. That city is our home. They get the earthly home. We get the heavenly home as the saints of God. Come on, that's so good. They could keep this Jerusalem. I want that Jerusalem, praise God. I want that city. [00:40:02] (27 seconds) #OnlyBlessingsInEternity
