“When Isaac was laid on the altar, the arm of Abraham with knife and hand was about to come down, and God said, stop. And he provided a substitute. But when Jesus was about to be sacrificed, there was no voice shouting, stop. When they were about to nail Jesus' hands and feet to the cross, there was no voice that shouted, stop. Amen?”

“When they were about to pierce Jesus' side with the sword, there was no voice that shouted stop. There was to be no sigh of relief as God stepped in to prevent the unthinkable. Jesus was not spared. Amen? Jesus suffered and died for our sake. God didn't let Abraham go all the way through with that sacrifice, But he did go through with the sacrifice of his only son, our lord. And the apostle Paul is arguing if God would allow his only son to suffer and die for our sake, which is the greatest display of love that anyone could ever imagine, why would he withhold any other grace needed for our salvation?”

“Praise God for that. Amen? Because if Satan is the prosecuting attorney, then Jesus is our defense attorney. And he stands at the right hand of God, and he makes intercession for us. In the divine courtroom, as Satan hurls accusations at us day and night, Jesus proclaims that he died and was raised to pay the price for our shortcomings. And with that, the judge of all the cosmos bangs his gavel and declares us not guilty. Therefore, neither Satan nor anyone else can condemn us. You it's it's like, when something gets all the way to the Supreme Court, that decision is final. That's the last stop. And God is the judge of the most Supreme Court, and he declares us not guilty. Praise God. Amen?”
