God often gives a heads up in other words God often gives you a heads up about what he's going to do and what I did or I believe God hopefully directed me to do was pull in a lot of scriptures about God giving us a heads up about Jesus coming into the world and looking at those but then just as important what's just as important is the practical application. [00:00:00]

Why does God give us a heads up well many there's a lot of different reasons but primarily in the Bible it's to prepare it's to prepare and when you have it would you ever tell somebody you come in or maybe your spouse today now now let me prepare you for this I dented the vehicle but let me tell you why. [00:01:45]

The Jewish people could have been prepared for their Messiah Jesus have you not read have you not said out of Bethlehem out of Nazareth out of Egypt I called my son and there's so many scriptural fulfillments one of the problems is they thought he was coming as a conquering king not a lowly servant see they were they were looking for the Lion of the tribe of Judah not the lamb. [00:05:09]

God speaks to us through his word God speaks to you through his word if you're not spending time in his word allowing God to speak to you you might not be going in a good direction because one of either the society is influencing us or God's Word is influencing us so we hear we are told that through Abraham's offspring all nations on earth will be blessed. [00:07:30]

God's clock is always on time mm-hmm he's it's not he's rarely on time with my schedule we should have been this building ten years ago or we should have had you know we should've did and and he's he's rarely on my time clock why because we want to hurry things up let me just give you a good example singles you're praying for mr. right mrs. mrs. right whoever it is all Lord and yet like God is not a my time clock. [00:31:09]

Though you are small out of you will come greatness he's out of out of Bethlehem it was one of the one of the writers said a quoted man saying does anything good come out of Nazareth right was the other okay good thank you I'm like should have wrote all these down is that the spirit start sleeping babies are sleeping I don't know where they come from sometimes but this this does anything good come out of that so though you're a small Jesus it's interesting. [00:36:18]

God can resurrect your life God can resurrect your life where am i drawing that from he it's that verse we read a stump out of a stump a dead barren tree God brings life I like I love what job said he said there is hope for a tree if it is cut down it will sprout again at just the scent of water is that interesting if I and that's what people really need today they need if I can just smell the hope. [00:41:23]

The power of obedience and surrender it's interesting with this all start with Abram he said because you have a boy because you have obeyed my voice Abram remember what we read in Genesis 22 you don't have to turn there I'm just going to look at it real quick we are told that through Abraham's offspring all nations on the earth will be blessed but let's remember the context he was going to sacrifice Isaac he was going to sacrifice Isaac. [00:43:19]

God often takes his small things and he elevates those things why because he gets the credit he gets the glory so though you are small out of you will come greatness and what I've heard this I heard this right when I became a Christian and I hear it sometimes now on that and I and I stop and I say that is absolutely right at first I didn't believe it well until you experience. [00:37:38]

God's grace is even on the sinner not in salvation but think about that God's grace his mercy his allowing a heartbeat allowing your lungs to breathe this there's there's a if God's grace was removed it but I don't think unbelievers could you know and you couldn't even stand in the weight of what the world and the sin and loads on us so there's there's a grace there's that there's a grace it comes before a person is converted and because of that all the nations and all the nations doesn't doesn't necessarily mean all the people on the places on the face of the earth are going to be saved. [00:09:09]

God's not on my time clock and so he think he's running late and we do things for him well I'm gonna meet such-and-such I'm gonna make this happen and we always we often force things so just if you can just trust and that God's clock is always on time are we and I love that story I read it this week I love how God does some think of a story that I just read it and it just reinforces again but Jerry's his daughter remember that story they said hey Jarius your daughter. [00:31:45]

God's Word today because I'm pretty sure most of you came in here to know God better to worship God to have to have to build that relationship with him and I was reading a book last night it's on famous famous preachers from 1700s 1800s and there was a question in there that stood out actually put the book down and I just pondered this for a while the question was how can i how can I grow as close to God as possible that was there was that they were talking about that how can i how can i gravitate towards God and have that deep abiding relationship as much as possible now isn't that an interesting question how can I draw close there's got to be a way to draw close to God.
