If you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him? Don't you love that? You see the heart of the Father, and Jesus says, you all love to give gifts to your kids and grandkids and whatever. He says, you want to know about your Father? [00:34:49] (24 seconds)

Your heavenly Father sees you, he knows you, and when you come to him in faith, he loves to give good gifts. In fact, we're going to see today that maybe especially when we have a crisis in life, it might be a relationship, it might be some kind of physical situation. [00:35:23] (25 seconds)

And as he comes closer, like for the first time in years, he looks into the eyes of someone who he doesn't see fear or disgust. He senses acceptance and welcome. And he comes and he sort of falls at his feet. And he just, he cries out and he goes, Lord, if you're, if you're willing, if you're willing, you can make me clean. [00:41:49] (28 seconds)

That this guy's faith actually astonished Jesus. Why? Because in that day, there was a lot of superstition. And even today we have this where people are like, you know what, if you could get some oil from like actually from Israel and anoint with that or touch this water or go to this place like you have to. It's more special. [00:46:41] (23 seconds)

God has created us in a way that, there are times that we fight off pathogens and toxins and our body is, you know, some of you smoked and then you stop, you know, that your body just gets rid of all that stuff out of your lungs. It's remarkable what the body can do. That's one way that we experience healing. [00:55:12] (18 seconds)

And today, we just go, God, thank you. Thank you for how you're working through scientists to discover new cures. And sometimes God chooses to heal through medical care, and we thank him for that. And then there's one more truth about healing that I think is an amazing comfort, and it's this. [00:59:06] (22 seconds)

Bring it back to the first verse we read in Matthew chapter 7 verse 11. Remember what Jesus said? He said, if you, being sinful, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much what? More. Will your Father in heaven give what kind of good gifts to your children? What kind of gifts? Good gifts. [01:01:37] (24 seconds)

I always give that person what he or she would have asked for if they knew everything I know. In other words, if I could see the bigger picture, if I had the perspective that God has, I'd ask for exactly the same thing that God chooses to give me. Friends, it comes back to how much I trust God's heart, right? [01:03:47] (27 seconds)

And may we be the kind of people, may I be the kind of person in every situation, crisis, desperate need to say, Jesus, you are the first one to whom I will come. And I believe your words that when we come to the Father that he loves us. He loves to give good gifts to those who ask him. [01:07:57] (28 seconds)
