God's Great Commission; Man's Great Omission.

God’s work in Belize began with a yellow school bus, a family willing to go, and a decision not to show up like good Americans with all the answers. God’s Spirit showed a leadership gap, a baton that had not been passed from one generation to the next. The wide-net work in schools, retreats, assemblies, counseling, and altar calls became a way to reach young people who might never walk into a church. Jesus Night became a gathering where the point was not denomination or background, but an encounter with Jesus. The equipping school became a place where late-night conversations, not just planned classes, became the moments where true ministry happened.

The Lord’s work in Joy showed what that kind of discipleship can become. Depression had spoken over her for years, but the Lord renamed the story. The girl once called Joanna wanted to be called Joy because the enemy’s word had been broken by the joy of the Lord. God’s work in Zini showed the same thing in another way, turning deep trauma into worship and sending a healed daughter back into the foster home as a leader who now disciples others.

Jesus’ last words in Matthew ground the whole call in His authority. All authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Christ, and therefore His people are sent to make disciples of all nations. Mark’s Gospel says to go into all the world and preach the good news, not the promise of comfort, a nice paycheck, or a blue check mark. Luke’s Gospel says Jesus opened their minds so the disciples could see that they were not just consumers of what Jesus could do for them, but participants in His suffering, resurrection, and mission. John’s Gospel makes it plain: “As the Father has sent me, I now am sending you.”

Acts shows that the Spirit’s power is not given so believers can look spiritual, but so they can be witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Genesis, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and David all show the same heart of God: His glory is meant to fill the earth and His name is meant to be proclaimed among the nations. The Great Commission is not a side calling for radical Christians. The call to go, send, and equip is simply obedience. True worship is not just a song in a room, but a body laid down as a living sacrifice. The final question presses hard: what was entrusted, what was held too tightly, and what was given for Christ, since “only what’s done for Christ shall last.”
