#InvitationInTheOrdinary
“``So what looked like an interruption was actually an invitation. God was about to show Moses something he had never seen, wonders and a future he never could have even imagined. So my question is, what if that's true for you? What if, as you're walking through your ordinary day, God's trying to get your attention? Remember, ordinary doesn't mean empty, and common does not necessarily unremarkable.”

#AttentionShapesYou
“You know, that man in the whale photograph earlier, he had something extraordinary happened to him just a few feet away, and his attention was somewhere else. Where's your attention? You know, whatever you're paying attention to, it's going to form you to see certain things, and the attention you're giving is going to form you to overlook other things. Where is your attention, and what is it forming in you? Okay. The bush is burning. The ground may already be holy, and that ache within you, it may not be coincidental.”

#OrdinaryIsNotEmpty
“Every common bush. Of course, we know that not every day is gonna be extraordinary. Right? Every every day is not going to be spectacular. There are still meals to prepare and plan. There are still errands to run. There are still bills to pay. But hear me, ordinary doesn't mean empty, and common doesn't mean unremarkable. And that also applies to people. The God who met Moses at the burning bush was already at work. His people had been crying out, and God was preparing to do something about it. What Moses didn't understand yet was that God is about to invite him into this work.”

#TurnAsideToSee
“Maybe the fire of the spirit of God moving within you, telling you to stop and to turn and to look and to listen. And I think maybe you might just discover God is ready to show you wonders too that you've not yet experienced and work that you've not yet imagined in a future that you may have thought had already passed you by. And like Moses, you may even hear the voice of God calling your name too. And I guess my question that I want us to consider today is, will you turn aside to see?”
