#HumbleInChrist
“``And wouldn't it be awful if I communicated that thing to you and that said, now, knock it off. Do better. That is not the gospel. The gospel says, we can't do better unless we're doing it in Christ. And he has done not better perfectly in every way. And so, we we run to him, and we say, God, I need your help. That's humility.”

#SaviorLedHome
“The model of headship in our home is not the model of a boss. a commander of the home. It's not a king of your castle. The model is a savior who willingly gave himself, who willingly sacrificed, who willingly served. And he also led with strength and confidence and and decisive authority and decision making. But he did so through sacrificial service.”

#LeadToServe
“Oh, there's two kinds of people when you think about leadership. One is somebody who spends, his team for his own benefit. He uses them, and he manipulates them, and he he extracts what he wants from them so he can get what he wants. The second one is one who spends himself for his team. Clearly in charge and clearly leading, but who serves his team members as he leads them and pro provides direction, makes sure that he does his best to provide what they need so that everyone can accomplish what they need to accomplish for whatever the defined goal is. And that's the picture that we see of headship here. It's not the right to be served, it's the calling to serve first.”

#FamiliesShapeSociety
“And church, the way that we love our spouses, the way that we raise up our children is gonna shape what this church and other churches look like in ten years, and in twenty years, what society looks like. We must be committed to the slow growth of faith filled, obedient ordering of our homes for God's glory and for the benefit of others in our homes. So we're submitters, all of us, submitting to the Lord. we are lovers. We're sacrificial lovers who give ourselves for those in our care. And we're nurturers, training up the next generation to impact the church and to impact society until the Lord calls us home.”

#LoveBeginsAtHome
“It doesn't mean you don't love your family. It just means that at home, your family sees you at your worst. Right? It's easy to, be nice to the stranger and cordial and give them some leeway where you might not give your family members the same leeway. It's easy to be gracious with a coworker and also be kinda cold to your kids. When you come home, sometimes you're tired, and, you think that, you're entitled to certain periods of rest or, freedom freedom from certain distractions or whatever the case might be. so, rather than, living out the way God calls us to live in every moment of our life, home is the place where we can wrestle with loving those God has given us to love with our whole hearts to glorify God and to benefit them. The most ordinary place to love is often at home.”

#FamilyReflectsChrist
“What we're gonna see this morning, friends, is that the family is a god ordained sphere whose ordered roles mirror Christ and the church. Every role, every single relationship in the family exists for the glory of God and the benefit of others in the family. Every relationship in the family exists for the glory of God and the benefit of others in the entire family. So we're gonna see four, movements this morning. One, a principal that orders the home, responsibilities and roles for wives, and then point three, for children. And then we're gonna pull our view back, and we're gonna see why these ordinary decisions about the family matter far beyond your own four walls in your home, far beyond the most ordinary place in your life.”

#GodAgainstOppression
“And some of you live in homes where that is not happening. And I want you to know that God is not on the side of the one who oppresses you. God is not on the side of the one who dominates and sinfully controls. Now listen, kids. Sometimes, you think any control is sinful control. That is also not true. This text is not given to be a club. This and many other passages are given to show us the gospel. It's right there in verse 32.”

#PowerOfTheSpirit
“I only wanna point you to Christ. the inner working power of the Holy Spirit for any of this to work. No man, no woman, boy or girl or child or 80 year old lives in godly ways without the empowering work of the indwelling Spirit. trying. Confess your need for Jesus. God, I need you. I don't even know how deep it goes. But can you dig out this abscess? Will you cleanse me of my selfishness, of my pride?”
