#GodDoesntWaste
“``Beloved, hear it. I'm not saying that god creates every situation, but I know that he won't waste it. He won't waste it. Jacob doesn't understand. Leah doesn't. Rachel doesn't. Laban certainly doesn't. And they all think the story is about what what they want most. Right? Just that one thing that'll forever change my life. But here's the story that god's writing. If you read through the rest of the scriptures, and since you don't wanna spend the next three hours doing it together, here's the cliff notes version. Through Leah comes Judah. Through Judah comes king David. Through king David comes Jesus Christ, the son of god who saves the world. Well, how about them apples? The woman who believed she had been forgotten becomes part of God's plan to redeem the whole world.”

#GodSeesYou
“Because while we're living the story that we can see, God is faithfully writing the story that we cannot. He is the one who sees the overlooked, the God who quietly writes redemption. He is the one who Hagar says is the god who sees, who sees If you're carrying rejection, don't lose heart. God sees you. If you're carrying fear, don't lose heart. God sees you. If you're carrying pain that needs healing, don't lose heart. Say it with me. God sees you. And sometimes we're tempted to think when we don't hear God's voice that somehow God's not present. But even when God seems silent, he is never absent. He is still writing the story.”

#KnownByName
“Have you ever felt so alone that there isn't a chance that anybody else even notices what's going on? Beloved, if God could see Leah, God can see you. If you hear nothing else from me today, hear this. God sees you, who you really are, and he knows you by name. Not just the name given to you, but the names you call yourself, the names others have called you, and the names you feel called to step into but are terrified to embrace.”
