31s
“So we see Jesus values rest. He knows rest. He understands rest. And he wants you to rest. So he told the disciples, he didn't say, alright. Welcome back. Go do more. He say, welcome back. Go to the beach where you're gonna do a bunch of stuff and go to Disney and go to Universal and be busy the whole time. Then you get back home and go, I need a vacation for my vacation. But Jesus says, come with me and rest.”
40s
“And so I want us to look at this story this morning, kinda see where we can fit into this moment. This moment with Jesus, this story that is happening, where do we fit into this story? Where can we identify with the disciples here? So the first thing I wanna look at is what Jesus said. He said, come with me and get some rest. Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest. How many of us this morning need some rest?”
35s
“Are we in the go and see part of it this morning? Where Jesus is asking, what can we bring him? Instead of trying to find a solution for our own problems and try to just get the the little sprinkle of the blessing on what I think works. Only the place where we need to go and see and bring God what we have. No matter what's going on, no matter what that looks like, are we in the place where we need to surrender what we have to the father?”
33s
“They tried another solution. We say, here's my original. Here's my new one. We could pay a lot of money and feed them. And Jesus said, no. No. No. How many loaves do you have? Go and see. Are we in the go and see part of it this morning? Where Jesus is asking, what can we bring him? Instead of trying to find a solution for our own problems and try to just get the the little sprinkle of the blessing on what I think works.”
