#GodNeverFar
“``So as we conclude, I want to remind us that Psalm 10 is for people who feel that the presence of God is far away. Even amidst the fact that it feels like the presence of the wicked may be right here. I want to remind you that God is never far away from his people, and that's because of the work of Christ. That God will be with us to the last day. That because Jesus was forsaken on our account, we will never be forsaken. Because he was crushed for our iniquities, we will always have a place at the father's side for those who trust in him. That God will always because of that be near to us and that he will see us.”

#GodSeesAll
“But you do God sees. God saw an innocent brother who was slain. God saw Abraham and Sarah, parents without children. God saw Hagar out in the wilderness. God saw Joseph sold by his brother, wrongfully accused and imprisoned. God saw the Israelites being murdered in Egypt at the hands of the Egyptians. God saw Israel time and time again as they were persecuted, as they were crushed by their enemies. God saw the prophets as they were persecuted for speaking his word. God saw Daniel in the lion's den and God today. He is the God who sees. God saw them and he sees us. He sees our affliction. He sees your bully at school. He sees those speaking wrongly and falsely about you, he sees you in your heartbreak, he sees you in your struggle, he is the God who sees.”

#ComfortInGodsWork
“Ultimately, Psalm 10 doesn't answer the question why does God allow the wicked Or why does he allow wicked things to happen? But it does allow us to know this, that despite the wicked, we can still take comfort. We can know that he is still working for our good, that he is near to us, that he sees us, and that he will act, and that a day is coming when there will be no more witness, where there'll be no more people to make us afraid, where we will dwell in his kingdom, where he will reign as king forever.”

#KingWillRise
“That's an amazing statement. I will now arise. It reminds us back to last week of what Jeff spoke about with this illustration of the king on his throne. That when the king would rise, it means he was about to act. He was about to do something. He was going to exert judgment and justice on his kingdom, on his domain. And he's not just some earthly king that rules some small kingdom, but this is the Lord of heaven and earth who now states, I will rise. I will rise for the needy. I will rise for the afflicted, and I will give them the shelter that they seek. What David is calling for is for the Lord to do just that, and we know that he will.”

#GraceIsNotLicense
“I also want to caution Christians, Oftentimes, we can slip into an understanding similar to the wicked where we start falling into ourselves that God doesn't see our little sins, or maybe we try to Christianize it a little bit. Because of Christ, God's gonna be okay. He's gonna overlook my little sin. Now, is true that there is now no more condemnation that our righteousness is in Christ and Christ alone, But we need to be careful that we do not take this as an excuse to warrant sin in our own lives, to allow sin to continue to take a hold. We should be actively killing sin in our life, trusting ourselves in hum humility to a God who sees us and works for us and helps us.”

#GodHearsTheHumble
“While the wicked will chase after their desires that will lead to their ultimate death, here we have a promise that God knows and hears the desires of those who are humble, of those who are afflicted. That he acts to strengthen their heart, that he will incline his ear, that he does work out justice for the fatherless, for the oppressed. That those who cannot help themselves, he will be their justice, he will be their peace. And the final result is this, that man will strike terror no more.”

#RepentAndBelieve
“Likewise, for those who have not repented, who have not believed in the gospel, who still stand opposed to God saying in your heart, there is no God, I shall not be moved, God does not see. I warn you to know this, that God does see and that he will come bearing judgment. That you should not presume on his patience for it's meant to bring you to repentance. So please repent, turn, trust in Jesus.”

#AskGodAnything
“God can handle us coming to him, asking tough questions. It's when we stop going to him because we believe he will not or he cannot that we start to get into dangerous waters. Again, God can handle our questions, but it's when we start believing that either God will not act or God cannot act that we start entering some dangerous territory. We start to fall into a similar state of the mind of the wicked,”
