God places individuals in our lives to help us navigate new seasons and unfamiliar territory. These guides are sent to help us unlearn old patterns and learn new ways of living in freedom. They are instrumental in preparing us for the promises God has in store. Trust that God is orchestrating these connections for your growth and benefit. [10:10]
Exodus 3:7-8a
Then the LORD said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings, and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land.” (ESV)
Reflection: As you consider your current season, who has God placed in your life to help you learn a new way of thinking or living? How can you actively receive the guidance they are offering?
The Lord invites contributions from those whose hearts are moved to offer them. This giving is not about a calculated return on investment but about a cheerful and willing spirit. It is an act of worship that acknowledges God as the ultimate source of all we have. Giving from the heart pleases God and aligns us with His generous nature. [08:38]
Exodus 25:1-2
The LORD said to Moses, “Speak to the people of Israel, that they take for me a contribution. From every man whose heart moves him you shall receive the contribution for me.” (ESV)
Reflection: Where in your life might you be holding back from giving—whether financially, with your time, or with your talents—because you are focused on what you might get in return? What would it look like to offer something this week simply because your heart is moved to do so?
God cares deeply about the burdens that weigh on your heart and keep you up at night. He does not want you to carry your anxieties alone but invites you to cast all your cares upon Him. Bringing your trials to God is an act of trust that acknowledges His power and His loving concern for every detail of your life. [28:07]
1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. (ESV)
Reflection: What specific worry or trial have you been trying to manage on your own that you need to consciously cast upon the Lord today? How might your perspective change if you truly believed God cares about this situation?
God has done great things in our lives, and sharing these stories is a vital part of our worship. Our testimonies encourage others and build our collective faith, reminding everyone of God’s faithfulness. Just as the healed man went into the temple praising God, we are called to celebrate and declare His works. [34:08]
Acts 3:8-9
And leaping up, he stood and began to walk, and entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God. (ESV)
Reflection: What is one specific instance of God’s faithfulness in your life that you haven’t shared with anyone recently? Who in your community might need to hear that testimony of hope this week?
The journey from where you were to where God is taking you can feel like a wilderness—uncertain and challenging. Yet, God is faithful to provide exactly what and who you need to navigate this season. He is leading you out of bondage and into a promised future. Do not lose heart; trust that He is with you. [36:02]
Hebrews 13:15-16
Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. (ESV)
Reflection: As you look at your current "wilderness," what is one area where you find it most difficult to trust that God is leading you to a good place? What is one small step you can take this week to actively rely on His guidance instead of your own understanding?
God is actively arranging people and seasons to move a life from captivity into purpose. Using Exodus 25 and the Exodus narrative, the speaker frames God’s orchestration as both instructional and incarnational: the right people arrive not to do everything for a person but to teach, uproot, and replant new ways of thinking. That process requires unlearning habits forged in old systems—comforts, fears, and possessions that hold sway—and embracing a posture of obedience that begins with giving what one already has. Giving is presented as a formative discipline, not a transactional investment; God desires offerings that spring from hearts moved, cheerful and surrendered, not from calculations of return.
Alongside treasures, God invites the bringing of trials. God hears affliction and intends for people to cast cares upon him, to name their burdens and lean into divine deliverance rather than nostalgia for past captivity. The text connects corporate memory and spiritual formation: festivals, Sabbath, and communal rites like communion shape a people who remember deliverance and testify publicly. Testimonies are communal fuel—when someone gives testimony it confirms God’s activity and propels faith in others. The invitation is practical: bring what is precious, bring what is painful, and bring what is miraculous so God can use faithful people to shepherd the next season.
The talk presses a pastoral conviction that transition will be messy; new freedom demands new thinking. Leaders or helpers may arrive who are appointed to reprogram thinking and practices so that the promised land is inhabited in freedom, not by carrying old chains in new territory. The closing appeal is trust—God is rooting for the listener, sending the right people, and has good things in store. The final moments call for communal prayer, decisions, and the public sharing of faith’s outcomes through testimony and communion, reinforcing that spiritual growth happens together and by intentional, obedient giving of heart, burdens, and stories.
And this is important because God wanted them to give, but he didn't want them to give out of ROI. Come on. He's sitting there saying, I want you to give, but I don't want you to think so much about what I get out of giving. And too many of us as Christians only give when we think we're going to get something out of it. Come on. But God is trying to reprogram some of you to where you sit there and say, whether I get something back or not, I am giving on to God. And dear brothers and sisters, you have to learn to deprogram your mind and stop sitting there saying, I'm only giving if I get something back. Whoo.

So watch this. It sits there and says, I have heard the cry of the people. And because I've heard them talk about their trials, talk about their problems, talk about their situations, now I am going to act. And dear brothers and sisters, what you have to keep in mind is that god wants not just your money, but he wants to know about your trials and your problems and your issues. Even though he knows about them, he wants you to tell them and ask, watch this, ask him to save you. Come on.

You got it, but it has you more than you have it. And some of us have houses, but their house has us more than we have it. We got cars, but their car has us more than we have it. Come on. Some of us got mates, but our mate have us more than we have it. Why? Because watch this. We are so consumed with it that we are afraid to lose it and or afraid to give it back to God. And from the jump, dear brothers and sisters, he is teaching them that the possessions and the things that you have ain't yours anyway. I gave it to you. Come on.

And what we have to understand this is that god want us to have a heart of a giver and a mind of a savior. Not the savior, but a savior. God called you to be a savior, not the savior. Whoo. Come on. But he also wants you to have a heart to give. Come on. Your giving is to help the kingdom, help further the things of God, dear brothers and sisters. So he sits there and says, I want you to bring your treasures.

So dear brothers and sisters, whenever we do communion, we do it to celebrate the things that God has done in our lives. Whenever we do communion, whenever we break bread, watch this communion, dear brothers and sisters, you might have heard me say this before, is an opportunity to celebrate and to thank god for the things that he has done for us.

God is sending the right people. God is sending the right folks into your life, and don't you think for one moment that the right people won't come around. God has good things in store for you, dear brothers and sisters, but he's gonna also do it through the right people. I know you have trials. I know you have tribulations, but I know I want you to know that you can trust God. Do not allow those things to get you down. Do not allow those things to break you down, but just know everything will be alright.

In the book of Exodus, it is about them exiting out of one thing into the next. And many of dear brothers and sisters, are exiting out of one thing and going into the next. And I want you to trust that God is going to bring the right person, the right people to help you navigate your wilderness experience. God loves you. I love you, and we are praying and rooting for you. Don't give up. Keep trusting God and know that everything will be alright.

Meaning, he was teaching them how to give from the jump, dear brothers and sisters. And for some of us, we know how to get, but we don't know how to give. For some of us, we know how to take, but we don't know how to give back. And for some of this, for some of you, I might be preaching to the choir because some of you might know how to give. But god is trying to teach them and lay the foundation of their lives that giving is one of the most important principles.
