“``The devil whispers in your ear. Listen to me. Listen to me. I'm winding this thing again. We're about to land a plane. We'll go to the house. The devil whispers, you are what you've done. Right. The devil says you'll always be an addict. You'll always be a drunk. You'll always be divorced. You'll always be a failure. Right. The devil will say this, you will never ever change. But then Jesus steps in. It says, but God commit his love toward us. And that while we were yet sinners Amen. Christ died for us. Jesus don't say, you what you've done. I always talk about what I used to be. Jesus never one time has ever brought up to me what I used to be. You know what he says? You are who I died for.”

“Friend, that changes everything. The cross doesn't erase your value. It reveals it. You hear what I'm saying? Amen. The cross don't erase it. It reveals. nails, they declare. Listen to me. You know what them nails in the hands of Christ declare? That you're worth pursuing. Do you know the only way that Jesus could come to where you are? By the nail scarred hands of the cross of Calvary. You was worth pursuing. The blood we sing about and shout about, it means it declares you're worth redeeming. Bert, you is worth redeeming. No matter what nobody else has or thought or ever accused or anything, no matter what the devils or the memories of the demons say, The nails declare you was worth pursuing. The blood, it declares you was worth redeeming.”

“Number one, lost things still matter to god. Lost things still matter to god. Listen up. I'm gonna read the notes fast. Lost things still matter to god. Every story begins with something valuable that became lost. The shepherd leaves the 99 because of one matters. The woman turns the house upside down because one matters. The father wakes every day because one, son, matters. So here's the truth this morning. You don't search for something unless you believe it has value. You don't search for something unless you believe it has value. Nobody tears their house up side down looking for yesterday's garbage, but you'll search all night long for that wet band. Jesus looked at people and saw souls.”

“Religious people's reacting to what Jesus is doing. Pharisees standing around criticizing while Jesus is standing there caring. religious crowd is asking, why is he with those people? Yeah. That's good. Some of you in here wouldn't sit beside some people. Right. Come on. But Jesus says, because those are the people I came for. That's right. Amen. Why is he with sinners? Because that's who I came for. Listen. Jesus is saying this because he loves sinners. The Bible says, this man receive a sinners. They made it as an insult. Right. Because the Pharisees look at people and see nothing but labels. Hello. Labels. Can I remind somebody this morning that my Jesus, I don't know about your Jesus, but my Jesus has never apologized for loving sinners?”
