“``That the entire old testament begs to know where is the lamb? Where is the sacrifice, the substitute that won't just take Isaac's place but will take my place? And in more prophetic words than Abraham could have ever known his response to Isaac in verse eight actually is the response to the chief question of the bible. Where's the sacrifice coming from? God himself will provide the sacrifice. See speaking of Jesus Christ, John the Baptist in John one twenty nine, behold the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. See as the New Testament unfolds God provided the sacrifice by becoming the sacrifice.”

“Abraham had seen God come through so many times. He stopped wishing for God to come through. He just started expecting God to come through. The author of Hebrews says in the moments leading up to Abraham sacrificing his son, Abraham was not sad. He was not scared. He was not remorseful. Instead Hebrews eleven nineteen said that Abraham expected God to raise his son from the dead. So Abraham's math, his logic if you will was I'm going to kill my son. I'm gonna light a fire, burn him up as a burnt offering, and then although a resurrection has never occurred before, This is not even a category introduced in the bible at this point.”
