#GodMakesAWay
“The story of god's mighty work in the waters of the Red Sea reminds us of our faith that god never leaves us, even in the most difficult times. Our god is a god who makes a way out of no way. Love wins in the end. And even our simplest acts of kindness, of compassion, and acceptance help us to share that assurance, the assurance of god's presence, with others. We too can be storytellers. We too can shape what our children learn of the world, what our neighbors know of god's love, what our nation sees of people who believe in the prince of peace.”

#BeStillAndSee
“Moses tells them to be still and wait to see what God will do. And then he cries out to God, and God responds, why do you cry out to me? Tell the Israelites to go forward. Well, we know the rest of the story. God parted the sea and created a dry path for the Israelites to walk to the other side safely. Try to imagine what that would have been like for them. To each side, there was a wall of water held back by a force they couldn't see or understand. Did fish and sharks and other creatures of the sea watch them go? It must have been terrifying.”
