But that's not how God works. God flips things upside down, and he anoints David in the hidden place. And then he opens the door to the public one. He anoints David in the hidden, and then he opens the door, which means that the work that you're doing right now, what you're doing right now in the private when nobody else sees you is more significant than you think. God's appointment doesn't wait for your recognition. The anointing happens in the field, not on the platform, not in the spotlight. [00:25:38] (46 seconds) Download clip

So the question that you need to ask yourself this morning is what does the private version of your life look like? What does the private version of your life look like? Not the social media version, not the version that you procure of yourself, not even the Sunday morning version, not the version that your coworkers see, not the version that you want other people to see. What is the real version of you that nobody else sees? What is that private version of your life? What does it look like? The version of you when nobody's in the room, when nobody's around, because that's the version that God's interested in. [00:26:24] (43 seconds) Download clip

And you know what I've learned in life? Surrender isn't a one time decision. Surrender is a daily decision, a daily choice that we make. It's every morning that you wake up. You hear the world on one side telling you to perform, telling you to put on this this peace, this perfection, and and promote yourself. And every morning, you make the decision to either live by the algorithm and what the world is telling you or to live by what God says is true. And David made that decision out in a field years before anything ever happened, before his life was ever changed, before anybody was watching. [00:30:15] (45 seconds) Download clip

Some of us have gotten really good. We've gotten really good at managing managing our spiritual image. We're really good at managing our spiritual image. Right? We show up. We serve. We know the right language. We sit in the right seats. And and that's not fake in and of itself. But but if we were honest, we really thought about it, there's a version of us that would be pretty uncomfortable if God actually showed up and he saw what's driving the motivating force behind it. Right? [00:33:53] (42 seconds) Download clip
