#SovereignSavior
“``Friends, the truth is that god's ultimate purpose and plan and what he will bring to pass in the lord Jesus Christ and through faith in him is to gather some from all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues to salvation in him. Is god the sovereign ruler overall? Yes. He is. And every single person who's ever lived on the face of the planet is accountable to him. Is god the final judge overall? Yes. The Bible says that what? That that we will stand before him in judgement, right? It is appointed for man to die once and after this, the judgment. But friends, here's what I'm here to tell you is, he is also the blessed savior of all who will put their faith and trust in his son, Jesus Christ.”

#EveryoneAnswersToGod
“Kind of naturally flows out of that, but I wanna make a distinction here. Not only is he the sovereign ruler over all nations, friends, but god is also the final judge of all nations. Who does he think he is? Well, number one, he thinks he's sovereign overall, and he is. Second, because of such, he thinks he's the final judge overall. And all nations and all people must answer to him, but not only must they answer to him, they must also be judged by him. And it's important to note that all people, all nations will be judged by him whether they acknowledge god, him as god or not, whether they put their faith and trust in him or not, whether they think he even exists or not, it doesn't matter. Man is not god. God is god. So, it doesn't matter what we think, all will answer to him.”

#OneTrueGod
“He does not just claim to be a regional god like many of the false gods that are mentioned in the Old Testament and as you look even throughout the world, he doesn't claim to just be one of many gods or just a regional god. God almighty who's revealed himself as Yahweh, the triune god who has sent his son Jesus to die for us on the cross, has revealed himself and claims to be the one and only god. And truthfully friends, that is why many people hate him and hate the Bible. Because you cannot say that, oh yeah, you can believe in the god of the Bible and this or that or that god's fine for you but this is who I'm gonna believe in. No, his truth claims are exclusive.”

#YieldToGod
“Friends, I tell you that illustration because I believe like that captain, we can be stubborn. Anybody wanna admit that this morning? We can be stubborn. We can be hard headed. We wanna do things our way, and we can resist god and his will in our lives. We can try to fight the sovereign rule of the almighty, immovable god in our lives all we want, friends. We can think, I don't have to answer to anyone. I can do things my way. I I I I I But in the end, whether we like it or not, friends, like that captain had to yield to the lighthouse, We must either yield to the sovereign rule of God in our lives or face the consequences of his certain judgment.”

#SavedByGrace
“The question comes down. Listen, we're all sinners. We are all sinners, and we would all bust hell wide open on our best day. But the good news is that that doesn't have to be our fate. God, from the foundations of the world, made a way that even though we're sinners, we can be redeemed and brought back to him through his son, Jesus Christ. What Jesus did on the cross was, friends, he took your place. God the father is willing to let him take your sins upon himself. If you will just believe that he did that for you.”

#AllDeserveJudgment
“In these chapters, god here is proclaiming judgment on all of these nations, 10 different nations that are within earshot of Jerusalem. All of these nations who have rejected him as god and thus have declared themselves his enemies to bring them to account for all their sins. Here's the problem with most people's thinking when they think about god's judgment. How can god judge all these people who are innocent people? And that's a fundamental problem because all these people, including us, are not innocent people. We all deserve his judgment.”

#ChooseSurrender
“Choice is ours. And here's the deal. There's only two choices. Which will you choose? Will you choose to surrender to him? To yield your heart and your life and your soul to the one. And can I tell you who loves you? Who cares about you? So many people think, wow, then I don't get to do what I wanna do. Here's the deal. Here, if you haven't learned this yet, there is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. We think we know what's best for our lives, but all we know how to really do is to mess our lives up. And what God really knows is what's best for us. We can either learn it the hard way, or we can surrender our heart and our will and our life to him. Which will you choose?”

#GodOverNations
“If we were if his this was written today, he would be writing to United States, to China, to Russia, to those who think they are everything. And so my question for us today is this, who in the world does god think he is? To order around all the nations, the powers of the world. Who is this god who addresses and pronounces judgement on nations and people who don't even worship or serve him, many of which deny that he even exists.”
