#DesertAsPreparation
“``God doesn't bring us into the desert to punish us, but he does use it to prepare us, to prepare us to receive his cross, to prepare us to receive his healing, to prepare us to receive hope. And in this season within our church, this is something that that we believe he's been at work doing. This is something that we believe that he's he's brought many of us through some deserts. You might still be in it, but the reason is that he's preparing your heart to hear his voice. He's preparing your heart to see his hand. He's preparing your heart to know him as the God who heals”

#CrossCostsEverything
“I've provided a better way forward for you. I I don't know what providing that stick in the desert in Exodus cost I don't know that it cost him much, but I know that the cross cost him everything. That it cost him everything that Jesus said, I am willing to go die on the cross for you, for your bitterness, for your moros, for your pains, for your brokenness so that you can see that I am the God who heals you.”

#SurrenderNotMagic
“these sticks aren't magic. Even even the the stick that that the Lord, the piece of wood that the Lord brings Moses to. It's not a magical thing. It's not it's not just this, like, he does something just right, and it all of a sudden works and frees them. No. This stick is the moment where they surrender their own control to God. Where they lay that down. Where they where where they allow God the space to clean out their hearts. Where where Moses learns in the Desert University to not just trust your surroundings, but to trust the God who's led you there. To not just trust that like or or distrust. It's bitter waters. It's not gonna work. We're in trouble, but to trust the God who brought them there.”

#GraceAmidGrumbling
“I am still the one who will care for you, who will love you, Who will walk with you. Even though even though they're bitter, they're complaining, they're grumbling against Moses. They're challenging God's anointed leader for them. They're they're doing all the wrong things. And God still shows up in his grace. He still shows up in his grace to say, okay. I hear you. Now that you're paying attention, let me tell you, I'm the God who loves you. I'm the God who heals. He he provides them that stick. You know, for us, we know that that's the cross, that that's the cross of Jesus. That as we come in our our bitterness and complaining and grumbling and anxiety and pain, that that Jesus looks at us and says, I I hear your mess. And so I've provided a better forward for you.”
