#HopeBeyondCircumstances
“``So our hope isn't in what's happening around us. Our hope isn't in what the Dow Jones is going to do today. Our hope is not in what is in the world news today. Our hope is not in circumstances. Circumstances sometimes seem to go from bad to worse. The future sometimes looks kinda bleak, doesn't it? And our emotions can start to to tell us, hey, God's forgotten you. God's not coming through like I thought he would, but God says, no, no, I am faithful. If I promised, I will do it. His promises are as firm as a mountain.”

#GodsDelayNotDenial
“If you're a Christian, you have a lot to look forward to. Think of it this way. God's delay is not his denial. God's delay is not his denial. Don't take the time lapse between the promise and the fulfillment of the promise as evidence that God has renigged on the promise. And we we joke about how I'm not gonna hold my breath waiting on that person to keep their promise. Right? But God is so unlike humans. He won't reneg. He can't reneg. We just have to learn to wait.”

#GodPromiseKeeper
“Now the two unchangeable things are his promise and his oath. K. Because it is impossible for God to break a promise, and it is impossible for God to swear falsely. So if he were able to do those things, if he were able to break a promise, if he were able to swear falsely, he would not be who he is. He would no longer be the holy God that we worship. So this isn't just about what God does and doesn't do. This is about his very identity, his very nature. So just like he kept his promise to Abraham and to David, he'll keep his promise to us.”

#BuildOnGodsPromises
“That's right. And yet, the interesting thing is that we can be confident that even while we're waiting, while we're waiting, God is actually at work fulfilling his purposes. So the next step for today is is very profound, but it's it's also very simple. And that is build your life on the promises of God. You may find it very difficult believe the promises that people make you. Nobody would probably fault you for that because we know how people are with their promises. But listen, you can safely build your entire life on the things that God has promised to us. That's how certain they are. See, when we talk about faith, we're not talking about wishful thinking.”
