Ephesians 3:20 puts the whole thing right in front of the church: God is able to do far more, abundantly beyond all that people ask or think, according to the power working within them. God does not have a capacity problem. God is able. The real question is whether people will let His power do a work in them so He can do a work through them.
The “more” of God reaches into singlehood, marriages, families, careers, finances, faith, and every part of life. God also has more for the church: more people saved, more people set free from addiction, more children and teenagers discipled, more miracles, more baptisms, and more lives transformed. The Well’s story keeps showing the same thing: every time another location was added, God brought life transformation.
The vision for a women’s center in South Dallas and a permanent home in Richardson is not really about land or buildings. The land represents women who are battered, bruised, battling addiction, and needing somewhere safe to run. The Richardson location represents thousands of people who need a life-giving church and the hope of Jesus. The whole vision stays about the next person, the next family, and the people who are not here yet.
God’s “far more” calls for a spiritual journey, not just excitement about a big vision. Ephesians says God works according to the power within His people. Selfishness, stinginess, skepticism, fear, and a lack of trust can block the kind of surrender God wants to produce. God first does more in people so He can do more through people.
The church is called to move as an everyone church, not a me church. Everyone has a seat at the table. Everyone can take a spiritual step, attend faithfully, get into a tribe, pray, serve, grow, and ask God what role He wants them to play. Togetherness helps people hear God’s voice, grow in faith, and refuse to leave anyone behind.
Sacrificial giving becomes an opportunity to participate in changed lives. Jesus gave His life, and His people are called to follow His example of sacrifice and availability. A three-year commitment and miracle offering are not pressure about money; they are invitations to pray, depend on God, and become part of something greater than personal comfort. God can do far more, and He wants to pull greatness out of willing lives.
Key Takeaways
- 1. God works in before through Ephesians 3:20 does not only celebrate what God can do around a person. The verse points to the power that works within them. God often starts by exposing selfishness, fear, and unbelief because inner surrender makes outward impact possible. [59:42]
- 2. The vision is always about people Buildings, land, and new locations matter because people matter. A women’s center can become safety and dignity for women who feel like they have nowhere to go, while a Richardson home can become a beacon of hope for people not here yet. God’s heart sees faces long before people see finished facilities. [52:18]
- 3. Togetherness strengthens spiritual growth The church is called to be a we church, where every person brings gifts, faith, service, and obedience to the table. Isolation can make faith small, but shared pursuit helps people hear God, carry burdens, and take real spiritual steps. No one has to be left behind in the journey toward more. [1:02:50]
- 4. Giving makes eternal impact possible Sacrifice is not merely losing something; it is making room for somebody else to encounter Jesus. People may never meet every family, woman, or child impacted by their giving, but God sees every transformed life connected to faithful generosity. The highest level of living becomes a life willing to give. [1:21:22]
- 5. God calls people beyond logical comfort Faith often feels scary because dependence on God cannot be managed by what makes sense on paper. A three-year commitment becomes a chance to pray honestly and let God speak, rather than dismissing the call through fear-filled scenarios. God can do more when people become available for more.
