40s
“See, that's the difference. If it's your son, percentages don't matter. If it's your daughter, 12 out of 13 isn't good enough. If it's your best friend down in there, you're not leaving. You keep fighting. And here's what I want us to understand. There are still people in the cave of sin and separation from Christ Jesus. People who live next to you. People sitting at your dinner table. And Jesus hasn't given up on them, so neither should you. So what is one of one worth?”
56s
“Alright. Keep moving. So the eunuch believes, confesses, and is baptized, and that's it. Luke moves on. Later traditions would tell us about some stuff that happened, but scripture doesn't ever tell us. And I love that because of the value of the one isn't determined by if he goes on to reach 10 people, a 100 people, 10,000 people. His worth his worth is because Jesus died for him. Don't get it twisted. Go reach somebody because they'll become influential. No. No. No. Your one is already valuable. Even if nobody ever knows their name, if they never start a giant movement, Jesus has already established their value on the cross.”
58s
“See, we usually emphasize God so loved the world. The world, all of us. And we should. But today, I want you to hear this word, whoever, anyone, anyone, your neighbor, your coworker, your kid, your friend, the person who wants nothing to do with church, the person you've stopped believing could ever come to Jesus. How much is one of one worth to God? The cross is God's answer to the value of the one. And if one is worth that much to Jesus, one is worth that much to me. is one of one worth to you?”
