“``Another thing I wanna note in that statement, a lot of people will say, God can use that for good. You meant that for evil, but God used that for good. That's not what the passage says. The passage says, you meant it for evil, God meant it for good. It's the same word. Brothers meant it. God meant it.”

“If God's in such control of this story, then then then then why didn't he prevent Joseph's brothers from selling him into slavery? Why didn't he prevent Potiphar's from falsely accusing him? Why didn't he bring Joseph to mind, to the cup bearer, the day that he got into the presence of pharaoh? Why didn't he prevent my parents' divorce? Why didn't he prevent my kids from getting sick? Why didn't he prevent my business from going under? You can insert your own at this point.”

“Look at all that happened to Joseph at this point. From being betrayed by his brothers, led into slavery, falsely accused, thrown into prison. How easy would it have been for him to just lean into the anger, into the bitterness? Routinely, says to Joseph or it says in the scripture, God was with Joseph. And this is just me pondering. I wonder how often he felt that. And in hard times, maybe we don't always feel that presence, but it doesn't mean that it's not there. And if we don't cast our eyes upon the Lord in those times, I think we could miss so much of his blessings and his presence.”

#RedemptionTransforms
“Judah was a tough character early on in this. Right? But Judah changed. Judah changed to the point where he said, look, I will sacrifice my life for my brother. A little bit of foreshadowing then there. Right? The point I wanna make there is that the truth about Genesis fifty nineteen, you meant it for evil, God meant it for good, can be true about your mistakes as well. God used that evil heart and that evil action, that evil intent for his purposes, for his good. And in the end, Judah changed and repented and sought the Lord and was blessed incredibly by it.”
