#HolyGroundSurprise
“``But Jacob that night when he took the stone and lay it down for his pillow, he didn't really think like you know, I'm gonna have a dream like only the saints could imagine. And I'm gonna understand my part of the larger work of how God is working in the world. No he didn't. He said he didn't even expect it. It's like he stumbled into it. It's like the holy ground was finding him when he least expected it. Surprised by God's presence.”

#ServiceFromTheHeart
“But I looked here and she was grateful and you know that was good. I mean it was beautiful. But I watched the faces of these teenagers. Some of them I knew really well and some of them I've come to know well. I watched as their hearts and her heart just had kind of a connection, you know what I mean? And they heard and understood the pain of her friend and the gift of what they had done. And they didn't do it for the praise. They did it because their heart, in that moment our hearts were beating with God's heart, right? That's what often happens. And in that moment what happens is that we see the power of God's love become real.”

#FindGodInTheOrdinary
“And they didn't do it for the praise. They did it because their heart, in that moment our hearts were beating with God's heart, right? That's what often happens. And in that moment what happens is that we see the power of God's love become real. You know, so one of the things that I think happens in our life is that sometimes we slow down and we really look and we really listen. That's one of the things Jesus did really well. We discover in what seemed like a really ordinary moment sometimes that God is in the midst of it.”
