Sermon Summary

Sermon Clips

1. "Chaos can best be defined as a state of total confusion with no order. Chaos is akin to turmoil. It's cousins to turbulence. It has a brother named upheaval. Family members named pandemonium. Chaos can really be a mess. When you lay it out. And you may find yourself this morning in a chaotic situation. Chaos in your home. Chaos on your job. Chaos in your schoolhouse. Chaos happens. It's real. But we must forget this. That God Almighty is able to turn our chaos into order. Amen." [07:47] (54 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

2. "There have been times when these same conditions have affected us all. Conditions of emptiness, conditions of formless, conditions of chaos. We've all been down that street before. But the good news is the Spirit of God was hovering over all of this. It's something about having the presence of God to cover where you are. ADT didn't do it. It was the Spirit. It was the Spirit of God. Your weapon didn't do it. Your sign, do not trespass, didn't do it. But God's Spirit hovers. He looks at his creation. His creation is under surveillance. Aren't you glad that God knows all that's going on? He's never caught off guard, never surprised, never saying, oops, not God." [10:31] (53 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

3. "God said let there be light and there was light the light was good and he separated the light from the darkness God announced his plan of action from the beginning and it dawned on me that's the first time we hear God speak the first thing he says is let there be light yeah and he's still speaking today speaking to you and I we would just turn down the world's volume for a moment you may what you can hear how God is directing us we can't go back and correct the past for getting those things what you behind and pressing forward to those things with the before I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus you can't get stuck you can't get stuck on yesteryear coulda woulda shoulda that time is gone now but he's still speaking" [11:43] (59 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

4. "God wasn't just satisfied with the light, but he say he saw that the light was good. We never even heard of good before then. See how he does that? He separated the light from the darkness. He put distance between light and darkness. This was his plan of action. And God has a plan of action for each of our lives today. I always see young people say, what do you want to be when you grow up? I don't know. Oh, yes, you do. You got to be something. No, I always say, what five things do you want to be? You ought to have some idea, some vision in mind. But he says, I know the plans that I have. For you, not to harm you, but to give you hope and a future. Aren't you glad that you're a part of God's divine plan?" [15:31] (49 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

5. "How to put things in their proper places. How to put people in their proper places. You know, he said, I'm going to put you in your place. No. No, God has put you in his place. Aren't you glad today that he knows better than you and I do? He says, listen, the light would be called day. And darkness will be called night. And he put evening and morning in order. Look how God arranges the universe. And you're worried about how he arranges your life. I would put my trust and hope in a God who knows how to put creation together. Isn't that good news today?" 6. "In the midst of chaos everything is going my way in the midst of confusion everything is going my way in the midst of controversy everything is going my way in the midst of my failure everything is going my way. In the midst of heartbreak, everything is still going my way. In the midst of my trials, everything, come on, somebody can say good morning. Oh, what a beautiful morning because everything is going my way. In the midst of tribulation, everything is going my way. I know it don't look like it's going my way, but I'm glad today that it is going my way. Hey, everything is going your way because Jesus himself, he is the way and the truth and the life. And no one comes to the Father except by him." [18:36] (60 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

7. "He orders your step in the right direction. He orders your step in the Bible. It is your best. Oh, I feel like preaching today. He orders it. He dials it up. He says it's so. He says it will be. Isn't that good news today? Oh, his word is the lamp unto my feet. His word is the light unto my path. And I'm so glad. Today that he is the light of the world. And so if I don't remember anything else. About the word today, I can remember he says, this is the light. Let there be light. Let there be peace. Let there be joy. Won't you let him permit things to play out in your life today." [20:23] (52 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
