To know God is more than to believe in His existence; it is to enter into a living, intimate relationship with Him that changes every aspect of your life. When you move beyond a casual acquaintance and truly seek to know Him, your desires, your thinking, and your very purpose are transformed. Like a spouse who can finish the other's sentences, knowing God means you begin to understand His heart, His will, and His ways, and you find yourself longing to please Him above all else. This kind of relationship brings hope, direction, and a new testimony, no matter your past or your struggles. [01:13:51]
Philippians 3:10 (ESV)
"That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,"
Reflection: What is one area of your life where you have settled for simply believing in God rather than truly knowing Him? What step can you take today to deepen your relationship with Him?
Faith is not just a feeling or a vague hope; it is the very foundation of a relationship with God. Without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for faith means believing that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Even when you cannot see God, faith assures you of His reality and His presence. In moments of doubt or struggle, faith is what carries you through and opens the door for God to work miracles in your life. [26:00]
Hebrews 11:6 (ESV)
"And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him."
Reflection: When was the last time you acted in faith, trusting God for something you could not see or control? What is one area where you need to trust Him more fully today?
God is not an idea or a distant concept—He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth, eternal and all-powerful. The evidence of His handiwork is all around, from the vastness of the night sky to the details of your own life. He is present everywhere, alive and active, and there is no limit to what He can do. When you recognize God as Creator, you are invited to worship Him, trust Him, and expect Him to move in your life in ways beyond your imagination. [37:58]
Genesis 1:1 (ESV)
"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."
Reflection: Take a moment to look at the world around you—what is one thing in creation that reminds you of God’s power and presence? How can you let that reminder shape your worship and trust today?
God did not remain distant; He came to us in the person of Jesus Christ, the mighty God and Prince of Peace. Jesus was born, lived among us, suffered, died, and rose again so that we could be delivered from sin and death. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and knowing Jesus personally brings resurrection power into your life. No matter your past or your struggles, Jesus offers forgiveness, hope, and a new beginning. [01:02:16]
Isaiah 9:6 (ESV)
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Reflection: In what area of your life do you need to experience Jesus as your Savior and Deliverer? What would it look like to surrender that area to Him today?
It is easy to settle for religion—a set of beliefs or rituals—without ever truly knowing God. But God desires more than your attendance or your acknowledgment; He wants your heart, your love, and your daily pursuit. When you fall in love with the Author, the Bible comes alive, and your faith becomes a living testimony. Move beyond a surface-level faith and commit to a relationship where you know God’s heart, hear His voice, and walk in His ways. [01:12:05]
Deuteronomy 6:5 (ESV)
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might."
Reflection: What is one practical way you can move beyond routine religion and intentionally pursue a deeper, living relationship with God this week?
Today, we gathered in a spirit of expectation, believing that God desires to move among us in miraculous ways. There is a deep conviction that every time we come together, someone can receive a miracle, experience the infilling of the Holy Ghost, or be baptized in Jesus’ name. This is not just a hope, but a faith that God wants to make these things a regular part of our church life. We celebrated Sister Shana’s decision to be baptized, and we prayed for many needs in our congregation, trusting God’s power to heal, restore, and provide.
The heart of the message centers on a question that has weighed heavily on me: Why doesn’t everyone want to live for God? While belief in God is still common, truly knowing Him is rare. Many have a Bible, but few read it; many believe in God, but few pursue a relationship with Him. The difference between believing in God and knowing God is the difference between having a book on your shelf and falling in love with its author. When you fall in love with Jesus, the Word comes alive, and your life is transformed.
We live in a world where belief in God is declining, and as a result, evil seems to be increasing. The solution is not more religion, but a return to genuine faith and relationship with God. This relationship is not casual or convenient, but intimate and committed—like a marriage, not a dating relationship. When you know God, you begin to understand His heart, His desires, and His will for your life. You don’t just come to Him when you need something; you walk with Him daily, allowing His Spirit to shape your thoughts, emotions, and actions.
God is not a distant idea or a concept; He is the living Creator, present everywhere, all-powerful, and deeply involved in our lives. Testimonies of miracles, provision, and transformation remind us that He is still at work today. The greatest change comes when we move from simply believing in God to truly knowing Him—when we surrender, repent, and invite His Spirit to fill us. In that place, hope is restored, wounds are healed, and new testimonies are written. The invitation is open: come to the altar, not just to believe, but to know Him. When you know Him, everything changes.
