#RevealToHeal
“And then he lovingly invites her into deeper honesty because Jesus never exposes to embarrass. He exposes what's hurting to heal. And there's a difference between expose being exposed by people and being revealed in the presence of God. People can shame. Jesus reveals to point us to grace. And this is where the encounter deepens.”

#DestinyNotHistory
“Jesus knows her story, knows her shame, knows what she's done, knows where she's been, yet still he starts a conversation. And friend, don't disqualify yourself from a conversation with the God who loves you. Because even at the worst part of my story, it doesn't change my worth to Jesus. People may have reduced her to her history, but Jesus saw her destiny. People saw a Samaritan, but Jesus saw a woman he was willing to cross cultural boundaries with to reach her at her lowest point. People saw someone who didn't belong. Jesus saw someone who belonged to him.”

#JesusIsTheSource
“When Jesus changes who I am, I take who I am and use it to serve others. All these are good things. But the disciplines of Christianity are not the end goal. They are mere vessels. They are not the source. Jesus is the source. It's the Jesus I find in worship. It's the Jesus who's revealed in the word. It's the Jesus who I discover in prayer. It's the one who I reflect when I serve. They are not the goal. The bucket is not the goal. Jesus is the goal.”
