1) "It's amazing what a little truth can do, right? A little truth can say, you're not dying. You're not having a serious life threatening episode. You're going to be just fine. And a little truth actually helps you get straight to the heart of the matter and give you a quick understanding of what to do. Stop eating B complex gummies like M and M's. Just don't do it anymore and you're going to be okay. Well, I say that because the world is sick and they can't figure out why. And they're trying every remedy. They're taking all the tests. Um, they're trying to figure out why they're sick. Why am I not happy? Why am I not fulfilled? And why do I have little moments of fulfillment? But man, it never, it doesn't matter how much I get, no matter how much I acquire, I'm still, it just doesn't fill the void. And why am I getting angry? And why do I hurt people? And why do I keep cheating? And why do I do the things I don't want to do?" [51:15] (59 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

2) "When Jesus gives us the truth, you're a slave to sin and there is nothing you can do about it outside of me. And so we're finishing John eight today and Jesus makes one of the most brazen comments Jesus can make and we'll get to in a second, but we've been in the conversation for a month and John chapter eight. And I was thinking, you know, I'm going to switch over to new living translation because I feel like the language sometime has gotten a little, it's, it's a little bit hard to understand it sometimes. Like what is he trying to get at? So, um, I switched over NLT today and, and Jesus is on the temple steps. He's having this conversation. People are probably there. It might be in the middle at the end of the feast of tabernacles or right at the end, which they're in right now. And, um, he's having two conversations at once." 3) "You will know Jesus and he will open your eyes to discern between a truth and a lie. You will know Jesus and he will open your eyes to understand between righteousness and unrighteousness. He's going to open your eyes to understand what's from God and what's from Satan. You know, I was talking to a mom several months ago that wasn't following Christ. And she said, we were watching all kinds of stuff at home and never thought anything about it. And then all of a sudden, she said, I don't know. I don't know. All of a sudden, I get saved. I give my life to Christ. And I'm like, what on earth are we watching? Get that junk out of my house. How does that happen? You will know the truth and the truth will set you free. You're all of a sudden going, now I can discern between what is the truth and what is a lie, what's righteous and unrighteous, what's from God and what's from Satan. When you're in the world without Jesus, you are bound and you cannot see those things." [01:01:37] (60 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

4) "Jesus gives us freedom from the slavery of sin. He gives us freedom from the slavery and the burden of religion. He gives us freedom, freedom from Satan, and he gives us freedom from death. And we're going to talk about those four today. So it says, Jesus replied, I tell you the truth. Everyone who sins as a slave to sin. A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is a part of the family forever. So if the son sets you free, you are truly free. Yes, I realize you're descendants of Abraham. And yet some of you are trying to kill me because there's no room in your heart for my message. I'm telling you what I saw when I was with my father, but you were following the advice of your father. So this is a very important concept all throughout the New Testament. Sin equals slavery. Sin equals slavery, okay? And Jesus has given us the contrast of what he brings against what the world is." 5) "When you fall on the mercy of Christ, he sets you free from the slavery of sin. Does that mean we don't sin? Well, no, no. It means the power of sin is broken. You know, Adam and Eve didn't have a sin. They didn't have a sin in nature and they still sin, didn't they? Every person after Adam and Eve was born into slavery and there's nothing you can do about it without Jesus. You are a slave to that passion and desire. But Galatians five tells us those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and his desires. Jesus breaks the power of sin and he gives us a new heart. He gives us a new heart. That's how he does it. How does he break the power of sin in our life? He gives us a brand new heart. A heart that doesn't. We don't want to obey that master, but wants to obey our new master, which is Jesus in heaven." [01:09:39] (52 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

6) "Jesus set you free from that slavery and that burden of religion and self-righteousness. And the type of religion I'm talking about is what the Bible calls it. It's a confidence in the flesh, meaning I do these things. I check the boxes. I go to church. I serve in the kids ministry. I give the tithe or I'm a good person. I do all those things to bring right standing with God. I feel good about myself because I've accomplished something for God. The Jews had this. They thought we're Abraham's descendants. This is that confidence in the flesh. We're Abraham descendants. That's going to save us. We're special. We have the law. God's chosen people. And Jesus saying that's not going to save you. You're going to die in your sins. It's not going to work. I'm the only one who can save you. So the person who comes to Christ must come to Christ and recognize their unrighteous heart and their need for Savior. If you can't have that, you're stuck. And this is what they were doing." 7) "I have really, really good news for those who are followers of Christ. He is not your father anymore. He can't tell you what to do. You don't have to obey him and you don't have to be afraid of him. Listen to these verses. James 4. Submit yourself, therefore, to God. Was this the devil and what? He'll flee from you. Ephesians 6. Put on the whole armor of God. You're going to be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. First John. Little children, you are from God and have overcome them. He's talking about the spirit of the Antichrist. For he. Everybody say this. He who is in you is greater. Greater than he who is in the world. Who is in the world? The rulers of this world. Satan. Mark 16. And these signs will accompany those who believe. In my name, they will cast out demons. They will speak in new tongues. They will pick up servants with their hands. We're not going to do that in church today. Don't worry. They drink any deadly poison. It will not hurt them. They will lay hands on the sick and they will recover." 8) "Jesus gives us freedom over the slavery of sin. Over the burden of religion. Over the power of Satan. And he gives us freedom over death. And he's not talking about 50 years old. He's not talking about physical death. We're all going to die. He's talking about spiritual death. See, physical death is a separation of the soul from the body. I don't know if you've ever been. Most of us have probably been to a funeral with an open casket. And you walk in there and you look at that person's face and you go, not there anymore. Like, do you ever notice they don't even look like the same person? And it could have been just a few days. I don't know who you are. There's no life. They're not there. They're not there anymore. Their soul, the thing that makes them who they are, has departed from their bodies. But if physical death is the separation of the soul from the body, then spiritual death is the separation of the soul from God." [01:32:04] (63 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
