#NotYourFaultRespondRight
“``But the hurt was not Joseph's fault, and the hurt is not your fault. You know, sometimes it is your fault. Right? just because you got hurt, it does not mean it was your fault. And sometimes we do a bad job as leaders in making it seem that the reason you were hurt, the reason you were offended is because of you. Sometimes it is not. But what he did with the hurt, what what Joseph did in this moment of hurt, that was his responsibility. What you do when you are wounded, your next move after you are hurt, your next move after you've been offended, that is your responsibility. That is my responsibility.”

#TenYearsNoBitterness
“Can you imagine a decade hurt, a decade of pain, a decade of bitterness that could have easily been bubbling in Joseph's heart, in his mind, in his spirit. Ten years. Because of my brothers, I am in prison, and I lost ten years of my life. Ten years is a long time. Anyone had an excuse to be bitter, it was Joseph. scripture never tells us that Joseph been consumed with hatred. Never in the story of Joseph do we see that hatred or bitterness had had consumed Joseph.”

#BitternessHarmsEverything
“And the the dangerous thing about bitterness is that it rarely stays hidden. Right? It it rarely, you know, remains in that little sprout in your heart. Eventually, bitterness, if it continues to fester, it affects your marriage. It it affects your parenting. It affects your friendships, and then it affects your worship. You you it affects your prayer life. I know people that have been holding on to bitterness in their life, that they cannot step foot in a church, that that they can't put get themselves to a place where they could worship.”

#BitternessKillsFaith
“Right? It it rarely, you know, remains in that little sprout in your heart. Eventually, bitterness, if it continues to fester, it affects your marriage. It it affects your parenting. It affects your friendships, and then it affects your worship. You you it affects your prayer life. I know people that have been holding on to bitterness in their life, that they cannot step foot in a church, that that they can't put get themselves to a place where they could worship. And it's the dangerous part of bitterness because a lot of times bitterness stems or roots from something that has nothing to do with God. And the one who embraces or or falls on the end of the stick more so is our relationship with God.”
