So what the bible does when I read it, it's like a sword going through every fabric of my being, but it's able to judge the thoughts and the intentions of the heart. Here's what judging means in scripture. Is it good or is it bad? What is it? That's what the bible does. It's that refining process. Get rid of the things. Cut it off. But then embrace and solidify the good. [01:06:09] (23 seconds)  #BibleAsSword Download clip

That foundation is not going to get swept away if you give it a little squirt gun. It's not gonna happen. That foundation is not going to get swept away if you throw water balloons. May maybe if you throw enough water balloons, but probably not. It needs a flood. And you're the gatekeeper to the flood. You hold the lever. How much of this thing do you want? That's the question. This is how we think. Do I bring enough to the table? No. No. No. It's not about what you bring to the table. It's about the table's already set. You're coming to a set table, and that's God's table. And it's got everything you need. So I Psalm 23, famous psalm in the bible, it would say this, he prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies. Christianity is a refining process of becoming who you were destined to be since the foundation of the world. You were destined to know God and to look like Jesus. That's what you're destined to be. It's a refining process. And actually, there's this really weird large word that we use and we maybe talk about it. I'm gonna explain it to you. It's called sanctification. They gather together every day. Why did they do that? Because they understood this is the refining process. And the more they engage in the word, the more they engage it with Christians, the more they engage in the teaching of the word, the more the refining process happens because my life must be made holy. My life must be set apart for Jesus. But I hold the lever. What do I do with it? [01:12:51] (25 seconds)  #DailyRefinement Download clip

More often than not, when I ask people that, they say, not great. You asked him a few months later. How's it going with reading the bible and prayer? Not great. Maybe a year later, how's it going with reading the bible and prayer? Not great. This is the pattern. Majority of Christians are trying to get their Christmas tree home with their gas tank empty, And they're forgetting to stop at the gas station and be filled. Now my encouragement to all of us, do whatever it takes to get into this word more. Whatever it takes. Whatever it takes. It is your key. And when you have a life where you're not engaging with that, that word, and the trend of your life is it's not great. I'm not engaging. I'm not re I'm reading that bible. Understand, you are in a spiritual warfare moment where the devil does not want you to engage in this scripture, and he wants to keep you bound in bondage, unable to be free. How much do you wanna engage in? How much of this do you want? How much transformation do you want? How much of Jesus do you want? Because you have the lever. You can turn it on and open up this thing and go in all tilt, full tilt, and you'll find there's a richness and a a transformed life available. Or you can back it off and you find it just gets less and less and less. Four days. [01:11:14] (20 seconds)  #TurnTheLeverOn Download clip
