#CitizensOfHeaven
“And it might be that we are in that part of the cycle where we've gotten kinda far enough removed from any one of these wars where we're starting to take for granted what it means to be a Christian and to have patriotism. Not a patriotism that is defining what it means to be a Christian, but a patriotism that is seen through the eyes of what it means to follow Jesus. Because we don't wanna allow our patriotism for our country to replace our responsibility as his people. Before we are a citizen of America, we are citizens of heaven.”

#SeekGodFirst
“You see, your your response to adversity, Ford Point, demonstrates if your patriotism has been replaced, has replaced your responsibility. Whatever your first initial reaction to to do, the first thing you wanna do is it to to phone up your local politician? Is it to post something on Facebook? Right? Your response during these times of adversity demonstrates it's the litmus test. It will tell you if if your patriotism has replaced your responsibility because your responsibility, first and foremost, is to say, I'm gonna seek the heart of God in this. I'm gonna get some of my friends. I'm gonna get some of my my life group, my celebrate recovery group. We're gonna get together, and I'm gonna share with them. And we're gonna seek God together with what's going on in my life.”

#PraiseBeforeBattle
“We're gonna get together a bunch of people who sing and play music, and we're gonna stick them out in the front of the army. That we're gonna trust God so much for giving us the victory in whatever area that we are talking about, be it nationally as a country or be it individually in in the the battle that you find yourself in. When we lead with this upside down praise first, it moves things. It changes things. God acts on your behalf. And if you continue on in reading the story, they woke up and went out to battle, and the battle had already been won as the people that they were fighting against had turned on each other, and there was no battle for them to fight. God gave it to them.”

#KneesThenPraise
“Now if you take any given Sunday for us here at Ford Point, there's a good chance that, you know, you wouldn't describe it as a bunch of people praising at the top of their lungs. Lungs. What would it take? What would it look like for us to be a people despite whatever's going on? That our patriotism drives us to our knees, but then drives us to sing at the top of our lungs. That we love our country so much, that we love the people that we are in community with, that we love what God wants to do through us, that we're gonna choose to regularly be drawn to our knees, to fast and be drawn to our knees, and then to sing at the top of our lungs.”
