#SavedAndAtRest
“For those of us who have said yes to Jesus, that day you said yes to Jesus, that was your special day. Now if you are a follower of Jesus, you're at rest. Amen. Tell your neighbor, I'm at rest. I'm at rest. I'm in the promised land. Glory to god. I made it. I made it. I made it. I made it. You don't have to work for nothing. You ain't gotta work for your salvation. You don't gotta hustle for god's approval. You don't have to work for favor. Watch this. You work from favor. Amen.”

You are fully at rest. Amen. Do do do you remember when Jesus came up out of the waters of baptism? He hadn't done nothing. He hadn't performed one act of ministry, and the heavens split open. god declared, this is my son with whom I am well pleased. That's who you are.”

#StopEarningGrace
“The minute you said yes to the lord Jesus Christ and said, come into my heart, be the ruler of my affairs, Heaven open and said, that's my son with whom I am well pleased. your arrest. And so I need you to stop letting the enemy torment you and make you think that you gotta earn his favor. I need you to stop letting the enemy tell you you're not good enough, you're not saved enough, you gotta do more, you gotta work more, you gotta earn God's favor, you gotta earn this. You know? No. No. No. No. No.”

#HeartNotHustle
“Just like the lion wasn't designed to hunt all day, god didn't design you to run on an endless loop of production. He designed you for a rhythm. And if you do not intentionally choose to be formed by god's rest, the world will automatically form you through its hustle. And so here's my key point. Write this down. God's after your heart, not your hustle.”

#FreePeopleRest
“And when he gives the 10 commandments in Exodus chapter 20 verse eight and eleven, he commanded his people to remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. Why? Because Sabbath was meant to be a weekly reminder to a former slave nation. Okay. Underline that to a former slave nation, especially we African American people. I'm a hit this in a minute. Alright? To a former slave nation, you are no longer slaves in Egypt. Slaves work seven days a week to build somebody else's kingdom. You you know where I'm going. Free people rest because they trust the king.”

#JesusAccomplishedIt
“I remember at the end of the class, I learned that Buddhism was more a state of consciousness. I learned that Islam, the idea that Allah descended amongst people was abhorrence to the Islamic community. They are working to get get to paradise. to get his favor. learned that the Jews are still waiting for messiah. They're looking. I have a very deep respect for that community. I've learned a lot about the Hebrew language, but they're still waiting for messiah. What I learned about the Christian faith that I'd grown up on was that of all of the four major religions, that was the one that the basic tenant was that Jesus accomplished the work for us. Amen. So that in Christianity, the other three major religions was doing. Christianity was done.”

#WorthBeyondWork
“If we're honest, most of us are not being formed by the gentle rhythm of grace. We're being formed by the relentless pressure of hustle. And we live in a culture that measures human worth by output. We calculate value by productivity. In fact, we wear exhaustion like a badge of honor. When we ask somebody in the hallway after church, how are you doing? What's the primary answer? You're to hear nine times out of 10, man, I'm busy. Bruh, I'm grinding. Blessed and busy dog. And suddenly, without ever making a conscious decision, we've allowed ourselves to be formed to believe we're only as valuable as what we produce.”

#RestByDesign
“Notice, God didn't rest because he was tired. He wasn't exhausted. God doesn't get tired. He didn't burn out after creation and after creating the stars and the ocean. God rested because his creation was complete. Rest was actually the crown of his creation. He got he looked at everything he had made. He declared it was good, then he paused to enjoy it. Alright?”
