#ForgivenessNotReconciliation
“Forgiveness is not reconciliation. I have someone that I had a really, really difficult time with. Went to them, asked them for forgiveness, and then I asked, I would like to pursue a path of reconciliation. And they looked at me and said, that will never happen. So I knew we're not gonna get reconciled. Reconciled is when enmity between me and them becomes friendship. But I can forgive that person. How many people does it take to forgive? One. It does not take two. Forgiveness is my choice. I'm the one with the money that's forgiving the debt.”

#ForgiveDontBeADoormat
“Forgiveness is not being a doormat. Forgiveness does not mean you have to continue to allow people to misuse or abuse you. This is probably the most the biggest misconception that's out there. The offender must rebuild trust with you before you reengage with them in the way that it was before. There's a big difference between forgiveness and trust. Probably the best example I can think of is, let's say there's a lady, and she's being physically abused by her husband. And I've I've dealt with this as a leader at a church.”
