#DailyGlanceNoResemblance
“And say, here's the truth. Not one of us in this room can consistently become like someone else unless we spend time with them. We'll never recognize their voice. We'll never learn their ways. We'll never learn their habits. We'll never understand what matters to them unless we stay close to them. Spiritually speaking, and this is this is the hinge point right here. A weekly glance at Jesus will never produce a daily resemblance to Jesus. Did you hear that? A weekly glance at Jesus, a Sunday snack, is it gonna make you more like Jesus? It requires more. A weekly glance at Jesus will never produce a daily resemblance of Jesus. This is why we must be intentional daily in God's word, in prayer, in worship, in fellowship, in service.”

#FollowNotReligion
“Here's what you can't miss. When you and I receive Christ our savior, Jesus said to us, follow me. See, the call to salvation was far more than just getting life insurance, fall fire insurance, whatever kind of insurance you think it is. The call was to follow him. It wasn't to fill our heads with bible knowledge. It wasn't become a churchgoer. It's not to be religious. It it's it's it's to follow him, to know him, to be to become like him, to do what Jesus did. That's the call of what it means to follow.”

#JesusOverEverything
“I mean, let's just be honest. Some of us, we've made anything and everything more important than Jesus. Jesus is just a sidebar. But listen, this is so important. Jesus cannot be just another event on our congested calendars. He must be the lord over the calendar. He must be the lord over our lives. He must be the priority relationship in our lives. And so digging deeper to follow means walking close enough with Jesus that his voice, his ways, and his priorities are what shape our lives. That's what's required to follow.”

#SubmitToHisHand
“Where is Jesus trying to shape you today? Is it with your pride? Is it with your patience? Is it with your need for control? Because I know there's no control freaks in here whatsoever. Is in your speech, your thought life, your ambition? Where is it? Here's the thing. Stop resisting the hand of the one who's trying to make you, trying to form you. Digging deeper to follow means trusting Jesus enough to submit every part of our lives to his transforming work.”
