53s
“We're either going to be following Christ fully or we're going to be following sin. Everything that Jesus calls us to endure, has already delivered. Every temptation we face, he has already faced and defeated. Every sin that we commit was placed on Jesus, and he died for those sins. And he rose for those sins so that our salvation, you are the Christ, the Son of the living God, is an absolute bona fide 100% guarantee.”
63s
“Jesus is honest. Jesus is transparent. Jesus is speaking as clear as clear can be. And he is saying, I am the Son of God, and I have been sent to suffer at the hands of the church no less. That I would be tried, I would be convicted, I will be sentenced to death, and I will die. But on the third day I will rise again. Jesus is stating to Peter, to the disciples, to us that the work of salvation was 100% Jesus Christ and 0% 0% Peter.”

“God's way was the cross. God's way was that his Son, the Messiah, will suffer. Yes, the church of the day will turn against Jesus and be against him and want him dead. They will put him in front of the kingdom court. Pilate will wash his hands clean, knowing that Jesus is innocent, but under political pressure from the Jews, he would say, He is to be crucified. Jesus would be the casualty whose death would furnish the victory for his people.”
