#SecureYourStep
“``Some of you are gonna go on vacation to the mountains this summer, and you're gonna take a hike. And it's inevitable that whenever you go on a hike, you are gonna cross a stream. And I wanna give you just a quick tip of advice that when you are backpacking or hiking and you've gotta cross a stream, I wanna give you a quick tip advice of how to find a secure place to stand. Your your temptation's gonna be that you're gonna look at that stream, you're gonna take your foot, and you're gonna step on a rock. Right? Because you think that rock is just gonna hold you, but not every rock is a good rock, and not every rock is secure.”

#BuildOnRock
“some essential things to your faith, and you'll find out this letter is really wordy. It's really thick. But, man, it is essential for us in this chapter, in chapter two of first Peter, to test the foundations that we're on, to test what it is that secures our life, that helps us to stand. It's essential for us to know what it is that's holding us up in these seasons. Jesus speaks of this, and Peter knew Jesus spoke of this in Matthew chapter seven. And just in short, he says, but a fool builds his house on sand, and sand gets shifty, and it erodes over time. The more that the water and the storms hit it, the the sand will erode,”

#FalseFoundations
“maybe they'll put their faith in a system or a particular group of people or particular party of people or particular whatever. Man, they'll they'll put their faith in a lot of things, and what they find out is, man, that it is a stone in a river that has no foundation, and it shakes every time you touch it, and you shouldn't step on it. And that's why many of our lives, man, are shaky at best. The stone looks good. It looks right. I I'm and they'll they'll hold me, and we get bold, and we'll place all of our life into whatever that is, and we found out, man, that collapse happens in our life. We find out real quick. We find out real quick, man, that we are living in a land of insecurity.”

#DontIgnoreJesus
“somebody who's way smarter than me began to dig through all of that and expose the stone. And I thought, that's it. Well, nobody will trip over now because we all can see it. And guess what? We just kept tripping right over it. We just kept tripping over it. Like we it like it did it never dawned on us to, hey, walk around it, like step over it, do something different. We just kept tripping over the stone, and you need to know whether you don't put well, you haven't put your faith in Christ or you have, man, you have put your faith in Christ, but man, you are wandering off from Christ. If you're wondering why you're tripping, it's because you're ignoring who Jesus is. The text says you're being disobedient You're not trusting him at his word and his ways. You're you're you're just tripping, and you don't have to trip over Jesus.”

#FeedYourFaith
“It's it's it's not an imitation. It's milk that builds the strength of your faith, the muscles and the bones of your faith, so you grow up and you develop into this great salvation of someone who's been set free and redeemed by Christ from their sin. What is it that you are digesting? What are you digesting in your life right now that's corroding your soul? What is it? Are you willing enough? Are you honest enough to own up to the poison that you're ingesting and that you're spewing out? As a follower of Christ, our life is built on this word, and it's rock solid. When we talk about it being true and perfect, it's not just a belief. It's proven.”

#RockSolidFaith
“if you go to Buxton on the outer banks, man, all of these stick built beach houses that are held up by stilts are collapsing because this the ocean water is is just pulling the sand out from underneath it. But Jesus essentially says, man, a man who follows me builds his life upon a rock. It doesn't matter what the weather does. It doesn't matter what the water does. It doesn't matter how the how the sand moves. That rock is gonna stand firm. That no matter what comes at you, that rock is gonna stand firm. And you're gonna see that the idea in first Peter chapter two, the rock you're gonna see this idea being centralized at the beginning of chapter two.”

#YouAreLivingStone
“Jesus is this living stone, and and then because of who he is to you as the one who chose you, in verse five, you yourselves are living stones. A spiritual house that's being built up to be holy, a priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus. You see, the culture will look at you, man, as a follower of Jesus in especially in these intense moments, and because you can't scratch the itch of the immediate or you can't scratch the itch of the pride, you get rejected because you follow Christ. Because what you believe and who you are is viewed as irrelevant and is viewed as old and ancient and even foolish by the world, man, what people will do is put you off to the side. They will reject you, but you have because your life is built on a living stone, Jesus has made you a living stone that is set”

#PureSpiritualMilk
“It's perfect in every way. It is sufficient for my growth and my development. It is sufficient for me to to help me walk out of and get rid of this evil that is that's that's corrupted my soul. It helps me to grow up into my salvation. This word that is pure milk. Okay, listen, man, some of y'all are gonna hate me now. It's not oat milk. It's not almond milk, and I know they taste good. I'm an oat milk guy, can't do it anymore, but I used to. They taste good. I have zero understanding of how you get milk from oats. I just don't. But supposedly, you do and it tastes well. It tastes great.”
