#MercyNotScandalous
“``Your stories, your decisions, your regret, are no more scandalous than the mercy of God. There is nothing that you can think about that you have engaged in, that that you have done, or that you have failed to do that is more scandalous than the mercy of God. There is nothing more scandalous than than a God who looks and he said, my mercy is for you. Why? Because justice was already done and paid at the cross.”

#MercyCompassionJustice
“The God of the bible indeed is full of compassion and is full of mercy, but as the thing church, he's also full of justice. And it is at the cross of Jesus that all three of them met. It is at the cross of Jesus that mercy, compassion, and justice gave each other a group hug. Because Jesus experienced the justice that our sins deserve, we get to experience the mercy that we don't deserve. Because Jesus experienced the justice of our sins. We get to experience the compassion that we do not deserve.”

#MercyByChoiceNotComparison
“Because that's the reality. Your sins may not be as bad as their sins, but it's possible that my sins is not as bad as yours. and and and and that person's sins will not be as bad as mine. And so which standard do we expect God to use? God's mercy towards you isn't because your sins are not as bad as they could be, but his mercy is because he chose to forgive you. And if he can forgive you friends, he can forgive the worst of the worst.”

#GodChoosesForgiveness
“Maybe you say, pastor, my sins are not as bad as their sins. I've done some bad things, I would admit that, but I've not done anything as worse as what they've done. And I would say you're right. Your sins are not as bad as as the like those people that that engage in indespicable things that that should not be mentioned, but but that is not the point, is it, friends? That that is not the point this morning, family. Here's the point. The point is that God, who we all sin against, he gets to determine who gets forgiven or doesn't. whom we all sin against gets to determine, he gets to choose who he forgives and who he doesn't. And if he chose to extend his mercy towards you, then he can choose to extend his mercy to a nation as despicable as Nineveh. Because here's the reality.

#NoLimitsToMercy
“Or rather who do you think is too evil to receive God's mercy? Should God not have great concern for them? What do you think you've done that is far beyond the mercy of God? Should God not have great concern for you? Where have you placed limits on God's mercy for yourself? Where do you feel undeserving of God's love this morning? can have mercy on the worst of the worst, If God can have compassion on the worst of the worst, then then then surely his mercy can meet you when you are at your own worst.”

#SameMercyForAll
“The same mercy that reached Jonah in the belly of the fish. The same mercy that reached the wicked nation of Nineveh. The same mercy that that reached the the the wicked apostle Paul when he was Saul before God changed him. The same mercy that that reached the apostle Peter when he three times, and he denied his savior. Now that same mercy is available for you this morning.”

#StopLimitingGodsMercy
“that God is calling for this morning, we've heard about this great story story of Jonah. You might be thinking to yourself, well, pastor, what does that gotta do with me? How's the how's the response to that? Church said, here's what God wants you to learn about him this morning. It is this, to stop putting limits on his mercy. putting limits on the mercy of God. If I can be honest with you this morning, I've got people in my life. got people in my life that I don't want God's mercy for them. What I want for them is God's justice and his justice alone. But I'm not God. And you're not God either. Amen.”

#MercyForEveryCircumstance
“Church, hear me this morning as we wrap this up. I don't know what you are going through. I don't know what's heavy on your heart. I don't know what's been filling your mind all week. But here's what I can tell you this morning as we as we examine the story of Jonah and and and the and and the nation of Nineveh. Here's what I can tell you with absolute confidence this morning. In spite of what you might be carrying, in spite of what you might be going through, here is what I wanna tell you this morning. That there is no person or there is no nation, there is no circumstance that God's incredible mercy cannot apply to.”
