#RememberFirstLove
“``But here's the end of the letter. Don't miss it. The end of the letter. Whoever has ears, let them hear. It's not too late. It's never too late to again and again and again return to our first love. Remember that the one who loved you is for you. He is for your life. He is for your calendar. He is for your school year. He is for the moments that you don't even know are gonna face you this year where you are gonna need what he is building inside of you already. He loves us so much, guys, and and it's not just a pat on the head, it's an active, in your life, paving away kind of love. And he invites us to lean into that and align our hearts and our lives and our calendars and our priorities so that we can thrive in that kind of space.”

“And this is why in this letter, this isn't written to condemn, it's written to call them back. And I love that the phrase that gets used is remember your first love. Remember your first love. And I think this is so intentional because in first John four, remember it says that we love because God first loved us. We are God's first love. Do you know that? You are God's first love. And he says, now I need you to remember your first love. Remember those moments when you realized just what was possible because of the forgiveness that Jesus gave us, just what was possible because you were never gonna be bound by the things that held you captive before.”

#BewareBusyness
“But over time, they got comfortable. And if I can use another word that I think lives in a place of idolatry in our world today, they got busy. They got busy. And it wasn't that they made the decision to stop following God or to stop caring about God. It was simply that they got distracted with all the other things of life. And the next thing they knew, they were trying to make ends meet and doing all the pieces that we have to do to be responsible adults. It's really ridiculous. And they just got comfortable giving away not only their time and and their resources, but they got comfortable giving away their attention and their affection.”

#GodSeesYou
“Thank you for the ways you're showing up, and thank you especially for all the ways you're showing up that nobody has seen. And I know we all sometimes feel that. We're running hard, and no one notices. And not that we do it for that reason, but it'd just be nice to think someone could give us an attaboy. But God doesn't miss that stuff. Your heavenly father hasn't missed of this moment, and this letter's from him. I see your deeds. I see your hard work. I see your perseverance. done.”
