In a season that tempts us to drift, wisdom to finish strong is not a technique; it's a rooted identity in Jesus. When you sink your roots into Him and build your life on Him, you become less reactive to the noise and more responsive to His voice. This rootedness carries you beyond seasonal highs and lows, steadying your steps and clarifying your choices. Let your aim this week be simple and profound: remain in Christ, and let Christ remain the truest thing about you. As you do, you will find that strength to finish does not come from striving, but from abiding [16:38].
Colossians 2:6–7: Since you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, keep walking in Him; sink your roots deep into Him and let your life be built upon Him. Then your faith will grow strong in what you were taught, and your heart will overflow with gratitude.
Reflection: What one simple daily rhythm will help you remain in Christ this week (and when exactly will you practice it) so that your identity stays rooted amid seasonal pressures?
Daniel and his friends were offered the king's menu and the king's identity. They asked for a test because they had already made a quiet inner resolution: we will not be shaped by what flatters us, but by the God who made us. Conviction doesn't roar; it simply chooses the same obedience again tomorrow. Refusing defilement is not about superiority; it's about clarity—knowing whose table defines you. This week, choose the small, faithful “no” that protects the larger, joyful “yes” to God [04:41].
Daniel 1:8–16: Daniel resolved not to be stained by the royal food and wine and requested permission to abstain. He proposed a ten-day test of vegetables and water, and God granted them favor. When examined, they appeared healthier than the others, so the arrangement continued. God also gave them learning and skill, and their wisdom stood out far beyond their peers.
Reflection: Where are you being invited to a “ten-day test” right now—a practical boundary that honors God—and what conversation or permission do you need to pursue it with humility?
So many of us carry impressive lists—work, family, ministry, achievements—and still feel hollow when the winds shift. Scripture points us to a treasure that outlasts every CV: the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus. When He becomes your treasure, you are free to release every badge that once named you, because your name is secure in Him. This freedom does not shrink your life; it purifies your ambition and multiplies your joy. Trade comparison for communion; trade credentials for communion with Christ [31:06].
Philippians 3:4–8: If anyone could rely on credentials, Paul could—heritage, law-keeping, zeal. Yet whatever seemed like gain, he now counts as loss because of Christ. In fact, compared to the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus as Lord, everything else is refuse. He lets it go in order to gain Christ.
Reflection: Which single achievement or label most shapes how you introduce yourself, and how will you reframe your introduction this week so that who you are in Christ comes first?
This is the season many drift, not because they are weak, but because they are underfed in the knowledge of God. Ignorance is not a moral flaw; it is a hunger that needs a table, and God gladly sets one through His Word, His Spirit, and His people. Strength for the crossing comes from daily light, not occasional fireworks. If you will receive instruction and make space to learn Him, you will not be easy prey—your steps will be informed, your heart guarded, your hope renewed. Let knowledge of God become your steady diet, not just your emergency ration [37:41].
Hosea 4:6: My people are undone because they do not know me; when they turn from my instruction, they wander into harm and lose their way.
Reflection: Choose one area where confusion lingers; what passage or wise believer will you engage with in the next 72 hours to grow in the knowledge of God there?
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego teach us that the world is not won by our sameness but by our holy allegiance. They stood before the furnace convinced of two things: God is able to save, and even if He does not, they would still not bow. That is identity forged in fire—calm, clear, and Christ-revealing. You carry His name into your spaces; let your choices reflect His worth without harshness or fear. May your challenges meet a different you this week: rooted, non-negotiable in worship, and gentle in witness [40:24].
Daniel 3:16–18: The three men replied to the king that they did not need to defend themselves. Their God could rescue them from the blazing furnace, and He would if He chose—but even if He did not, they would never serve the king’s gods or bow to the statue.
Reflection: Identify one furnace-like pressure you face; what is a gentle, clear sentence of allegiance to Jesus you can prepare to say—or pray—before the moment arrives?
Family, today I called us back to the treasure that makes us unshakable: knowing Christ. We stood with Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego—young exiles given new names, new diets, and new expectations—yet they resolved not to defile themselves. Their conviction about God shaped their identity, and their identity held them steady when compromise promised comfort and when fire threatened their future. We also listened to Paul, who stacked up a flawless religious résumé and then called it loss compared to the surpassing value of knowing Christ. That is the wisdom to finish strong: not more strategies, but a truer center—Christ Himself.
I reminded us that this season is one of the greatest tests for believers. The festive calendar pressures many to drift, conform, and forget. But Colossians calls us to let our roots go down into Christ so our lives can be built up in Him. Knowledge of God produces understanding, and understanding produces wisdom—an identity that does not break under seasonal winds. To know God is to know yourself; the enemy isn’t after your job or your gifts as much as he is after what you know. If he can shake what you know, he can reshape who you become.
We marveled at the crown of thorns—what looked like shame became the legal doorway for us to receive the Spirit. Now the Spirit reveals Christ within us and forms Christ in us. This is why even when prayers feel unanswered, the greatest treasure remains: Christ is ours, and we are His. From that place, grace steadies us, the Spirit empowers us, and we are equipped for good works—not spectators, but living stones upon which Christ builds.
So we resolve, as we close this year and enter the next, not to bring the world to Christ by becoming like the world. We carry a superior name, a superior purpose, and a superior power. We choose conviction before deliverance, identity before applause, and Christ before everything. Finish strong by acquiring the true treasure: simply, deeply, daily—know Christ.
One of the most tricky questions tell us about yourself. We interview you know act number 57 you know your stuff. Tell us about yourself. my biggest fear is not being able to answer that question because locally on the other side interviewing me will have zero confidence in me if I can't even tell them who I am. At least who I think I am. want to write but to not be able to even answer I pray that everybody seated here under the sound of my voice will today acquire who they are

one of the most powerful things that the pastor has taught in was that when the enemy comes he's not even coming for your gifts he's not coming for your marriage he's not coming for your degrees shake what you know what do you know because I can bet that those that stand confidently on a thing that they know cannot be shaken this once said something that a lot of us come and we stand here but very few of us actually really receive Christ because once you receive him your life can never be the same again

but there is grace we are on earth and it's a journey that we and the reason why we keep striving because we have nothing to do but come here the reason leave pack everything we saying God we are so desperate that that enemy comes and tries to question me I say this is who know this is what I I Christ and I will stay am this journey involves understanding who God is that that's when you will get the best view you will know what he says about you it will shift you from that old self to a new self in Christ empowering you to live out your God given potential
