"And so as I began to take it in, I came to a realization that, that I knew already, but it really became apparent. Christmas without Christ, without community and family, is really empty. It's just empty. It's not satisfying. I mean, think about it. What on earth are we celebrating if we don't have Christ at the center? What do we even, what is the Christmas thing? Just good feeling?" "We instinctively know that in life, it's not really so much about the things we are doing, but who we're experiencing those things with, aren't we? Don't we? It's like seeing the Eiffel Tower, maybe on a trip, maybe a work trip, and you're going solo with no family, and you've been a 12-hour day, and you finally, you finally, they send you to France, and you're like, yes, I get to see it, and that, you know, 8 o'clock at night, you're exhausted, and you go out there, and you look at the Eiffel Tower by yourself, and you're like, eh, that's cool." "Jesus is not just a good teacher, a moral set of principles that we live by. Jesus is the answer to the world. He is the creator of all things. He is the Savior, the Lord, and without Him, we do not have true life. Without Him, Christmas has no real meaning." [00:42:28] (17 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

"Christmas is the moment God stepped into our world 2,000 years ago, becoming one of us, so he could die as one of us and pay the penalty for our sin. Everyone is sin. Everyone is sin. Everyone deserves the punishment, and he took it on the cross. He is Emmanuel, which means God with us." [00:43:05] (24 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

"He fills us with his love and with his spirit, and we are adopted into the family of God. We belong, and we are never alone." [00:44:09] (10 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

"But the more that I began to focus my heart and mind on Jesus and on the people in my life that I get to share with, the more my heart was filled with warmth and joy of what God has given us, the amazing gift." [00:43:52] (17 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

"And God is using May to break through in his heart. And so let's keep watching. Let's see what happens. About 3,000 years ago, King David wrote these words, The Lord is close to the brokenhearted. He rescues those whose spirits are crushed." [00:44:56] (0 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

"Even when we feel alone as a follower of Christ, we're never alone. In fact, the Holy Spirit is in us." [00:59:06] (8 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

"Lord Jesus, I pray for those that lifted up their hands that are in a season, God, of pain, of hurt, loss. And they need to feel you, Jesus. They need to know that you're with them, Father. I pray, Jesus, even now, visit them, speak to them, lead them, guide them. Holy Spirit, I pray the presence of Jesus. Lord, and you would send like you sent Simon. You would send people from the body of Christ to love on them and care for them, Lord. Father, be with them. Be with them right now, Lord. I pray, Holy Spirit, show them that you are real and that you love them and you will never leave them or forsake them. Lord, you said even when mother and father forsake me, you will not forsake me, Lord. So, God, I just pray for those that are hurting this season, Father. I pray for the comfort of Jesus and the joy of the Lord and the peace of God. In Jesus' name, amen." [01:19:56] (56 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

"And part of our story, a couple years ago, I set out to embrace all things Christmas. I was like, I'm going to do it all. I'm going to drink the eggnog. Anybody like eggnog in here? Yeah, I'm going to drink the eggnog, the apple cider. I don't do coffee, so that's kind of a mess up there for me, but amen. I was going to see all the Christmas lights. I wanted to go watch, go to any play I could. I mean, watch the movies, Elf. It's a wonderful life. Come on, everybody. What's your favorite Christmas movie? Let me hear it." "And so I didn't have the opportunity to fully, for these last few years, to fully just embrace everything. I'm just like, I'm going to do it all. I'm going to do it all. So I decided, here's my chance the last few years." [00:40:01] (12 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
