In 1986, in the city of Philadelphia, the sanitation workers went on strike during the Democratic National Convention. This meant that over 15,000 tons of trash had been accumulated in the city and they needed a place to put it. This trash was loaded on to a huge ship called the Pelicano. [00:00:00]

The Pelicano collected all the trash and sought a place to offload it, to relieve itself of all the burdens of this toxic trash and ash that had been placed on it. But after more than two years and traveling to more than 11 countries, the Pelicano became the most unwanted ship in the world. [00:00:25]

No place would take it in. No place would relieve it of the burden that had been placed on it. And what was true of the Pelicano is true of so many lives today. They're carrying the burdens of life around that have been accumulated over years. They are carrying around the difficulties, the disappointments. [00:00:50]

The pain, the circumstances that are weighing them down, and they have no place to offload it. The answer is simple. Jesus Christ says come to Him, those who are laboring and heavy burdened, and He will give you rest. Jesus Christ offers you a harbor in which to dock to offload life's burdens. [00:01:02]
