"Hello, I'm Tony Evans, and you know in the world today there's a whole lot of things to cause anxiety, so much that creates worry inside of us. We typically are worried because something is wrong that is also out of our control, or at least it appears to be. But the good news today is when things are out of our control, they're not out of His control." [00:00:01]

"When you understand the sovereignty of God, that's when you tap into this peace that passes understanding that God promises to provide all of His children. And so I want you to know that no matter how wearied or anxious you may feel right now about some situation or circumstance in your life, God has it all in His control." [00:00:33]

"One key way to overcome anxiety is to take what is causing you to be anxious to the Lord in prayer and be specific about what the situation or issue is, lay it before His throne, and watch Him work in your emotional well-being. In fact, I want to do that with you right now." [00:00:59]

"Lord, the only fear I need is the fear of You. In truth, the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. To reverence You in fear means to take You seriously. To take You seriously means to align my thoughts and actions in accordance with who You are and Your comprehensive rule over all." [00:01:30]

"I walk in the knowledge that Your truth brings freedom from fear and anxiety, but the enemy's lies feed my fears, even when there is actually nothing to fear. Peace is found in Jesus Christ, so as I abide in Him, His peace is manifested in my spirit, thoughts, and choices." [00:01:48]

"I overcome fear and anxiety by deepening my dependence on and intimacy with Jesus Christ, my Lord. In His name, amen." [00:02:08]
